Never Tear Us Apart by Monica Murphy

BLURB:

Crazy how eight years can disappear in an instant. One look at Katie Watts, and I’m a fifteen-year-old again—the one who risked everything to save a terrified girl from her twisted kidnapper. She’s grown-up now—beautiful, quiet, composed—and telling her story to the world. A story that involves me in more ways than you can imagine. She used to call me her guardian angel. Sure, I risked my life, but she was worth dying for.

I need to make contact with her. Just to ensure that she’s safe.

Somehow we reconnect. We become friends . . . but I want more. I want to make her mine. And she wants me too. Does she know who I am? Has she figured me out? Not yet. But she will. In the meantime, I need to make sure that whatever hold that animal had on her is gone.

So, yeah, I’m stealing these moments with her. Savoring them. Knowing, dreading, that she’ll soon find out who I really am. And everything will fall apart. All because of that twisted, perverted monster sitting on death row. Her kidnapper. A convicted serial killer.

My father.

REVIEW:

I don't even know where to begin. I am not one that cheats and flips the pages to see what happens. I have to be honest, it was a struggle. A fierce struggle for me not to cheat. I could not read fast enough. Never Tear Us Apart will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book. There was not a moment where I wanted to put the book down. I kept saying, one more chapter. One more chapter.

Never Tear Us Apart will rip your heart to shreds. Just when you think it begins to mend, it will be ripped out again. I would not wish what happened to Kate on my worst enemy. My heart broke for her. I felt the pain that she felt. I cried when she cried. I felt as if I was there with her.  Monica wanted the readers to feel what the characters were feeling, well she nailed it.

I can't go into too many details, so this review will be vague. I want you to be able to experience this book yourself. I cannot express how amazing this book is. It is a story of two broken people who need to find their way in life. Two people that have a connection that no one understands. They are drawn to each other. They need each other. They crave each other.  The only problem is....  Do they really know each other. A tragic event brought these two together.  But after being separated for years, and their paths cross again, what will happen?  Will they be able to reconnect? What happens when one of them deceives the other? Will their hearts be able to forgive? Will they be able to trust each other knowing their pasts and what initially brought them together.

Never Tear Us Apart has several twists. It is a powerful story that will leave your emotions raw. I cannot recommend this book enough. I can scream READ IT from the rooftops. This is one of my top 2015 reads.

Monica, nailed this book. I am a huge fan of hers since I was first introduced to Drew + Fable. This book is in a league of its own, and I mean that with the utmost respect. The writing and the storyline are flawless and flowed effortlessly. I cannot wait to get my hands of the next book in this series to see if these two broken souls can be mended.

REVIEW by Jeanine

This story kept me on edge the entire time I was reading it. I love the connection Will and Katie have. What Katie goes through is horrific. The way the scenes are written is seriously amazing. At 12 years old Katie was abducted at an amusement park while there with her family. I always wondered how anyone can go on with life after surviving such a horrific situation. How hard it must be to go back to, or try to be "normal" again if ever.

The story is heart breaking but it's also heart warming when we get to hear all about her connection to Will and why. I highly recommend !!!! I'm excited for the next book
