Blurb
The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men’s locker room.
It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster.
The famed quarterback decided to bare all.
And by all, I don’t mean he told me any of his secrets.
No.  The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel, just as I asked the first question.  On camera.
The Super Bowl MVP quickly adopted a new hobby—screwing with me.
When I pushed back, he shifted from wanting to screw with me, to wanting to screw me.
But I don’t date players.
And it’s not because I’m one of the few women working in the world of professional football.
I’d date an athlete.
It’s the other kind of player I don’t date.
You know the type.  Good looking, strong, cocky, always looking to get laid.
Brody Easton was the ultimate player.
Every woman wanted to be the one to change him.
But the truth was, all he needed was a girl worth changing for.
Turned out, I was that girl.
Simple right?
Let’s face it.  It never is.
There’s a story between once upon a time and happily ever after…
And this one is ours.

“When life knocks you down, stop and look around for one thing that’s good because there is always something. Then cling to that good.”
I’ve been awaiting this book since the cover reveal came out. I mean just look at that cover, you just know it’s going to be a good one. Vi Keeland is an amazing writer and is able to bring the characters to life before your eyes. From the minute I started the book, I was not able to put it back down. Her writing just sucks you in, but in a good way. I laughed with them, cried, and some parts even pulled at my heart. But let me tell you the hotness will make up for it. You might want a drink break. The Baller is one book you won’t want to miss, so clear your schedules and fall in love with one of the cockiest superstars out there.

Delilah Maddox is a professional sportscaster and works in a world dominated by men. She works hard to prove to them that she isn’t all but a pretty face. I love how independent and strong her character is. She lost the two men she loved, but yet she is thriving successfully. Delilah doesn’t let working with men deter her from reaching her goals. She is very professional and composed until she meets Brody Easton in the locker room shocking her by dropping his towel during an interview.
“You’re an arrogant ass. But there’s something about you I like.”“Im like fungus. I grow on you,”
Brody Easton is a star quarterback who is the most arrogant and cockiest guy out there. There’s no filter to what comes out of his mouth. He’s so full of himself. Brody is a player on the field as well as the ultimate player with the ladies.  They pretty much throw themselves at him and he enjoys every single minute with them. When he sets his eyes on Delilah, he wants to throw her off her game, but yet in end he just wants a piece of her.
“It wasn’t that I was afraid to fall in love. I was pretty sure I had done that already. I was afraid that if something happened again, I wouldn’t be able to get back up.”
Delilah doesn’t take any crap from Brody. She dishes it right back to him every time. I love the banter that goes back and forth between the two. She definitely gives him a run for his money. He just knows how to turn everything dirty. I definitely laughed a lot.  You can feel the chemistry when they are both in the same room but they’re fighting it. They fit so comfortably together, even when it’s not in the bedroom. They have such amazing connection, everything just flows naturally. In the bedroom, let’s just say hot! She knows he is the ultimate player and she doesn’t swing that way. Delilah is fighting the fears from her past causing her to be afraid to try anything with him. She just doesn’t want to get so involved to be crushed at the end.
“They say blood is thicker than water, but that doesn’t mean shit. Everyone needs water to live.”“For a guy who doesn’t believe in bullshit flowers and sweet gestures, you’re pretty damn good at them.”
Brody is fighting his own demons from the past, one he is not ready to share with anyone. After getting to know Brody, I love how he’s loyal with the people he cares about. He will do anything for any of them. Blood or no blood. We see a different side of Brody when dealing with the people he cares about. He denies being a romantic, but is proving himself wrong in so many different ways. I fell hard for him. It won’t be hard for you to fall for him too. Underneath is tough and cocky exterior is a big teddy bear.

“I feel it. It’s in the air when we’re near each other. You’re as attracted to me as I am to you.”
Delilah and Brody seem to balance each other out and they try to get each other past their harboring issues. I love the fact that they’re fighting for one another. When the past comes back to bite Brody in the rear it throws Delilah’s insecurities back to the forefront.
“The desperate and intensity of the kiss was like nothing I’d ever felt before.”“If I’m going to fall, I might as well free fall and enjoy the ride down.”
Will Delilah and Brody be able to get past their issues together? Can Delilah be able to love another? Or will her heart only have room for one? Will the past throw them off their game? Or can they truly fight for one another? Will Brody's past throw them a step back? Has Delilah been able to tame the player?

I absolutely loved this book hands down! You will not be disappointed.

A new song had just started, and I was enjoying his company when a voice behind me said, “Can I cut in?”
My head whipped around, even though I had no doubt whom the gravelly voice belonged to.
Michael was gracious. “I hate to share. But I suppose I have been hogging the most beautiful woman at the event.” He let go of my hand and stepped back with a gentlemanly nod. “Thank you for the dance, Delilah.”
Again Brody Easton had caught me off guard. Before I knew it, I was dancing with the arrogant jerk.  He wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body tight against his. Way tighter than Michael had held me.
“Good to see you again, Lois Lane.”
The man had balls; I had to give him that. I looked him straight in the eyes. “Nice to see you with clothes on, Easton.”
“Do you prefer me without?”
“I prefer you on the other side of the room.”
He chuckled. It was a hearty laugh. “That’s what happens sometimes when you decide you want to hang out in the men’s locker room.”
I tried to pull back, but he tightened his grip and held me in place. I craned my neck. “Let go of me.”
“No.”
“No?”
“That’s right. No.”
“I can scream at the top of my lungs.”
“I’d like to hear you scream.” His tone made it clear he meant he wanted me underneath him while I was doing the screaming.
“You’re an asshole. You know that?”
“I do. You asked me that yesterday. For a reporter, you should really try changing up your questions more frequently.”
My eyes bulged.
Easton shifted his hand down to the small of my back before twirling us around the dance floor. Figures the prick can dance.
“Are you seeing anyone?”
“You can’t be serious?”
He ignored my comment. “Would you like to have dinner tonight?”
“We just ate.”
“Dessert at my place, then?”
I couldn’t help but laugh. “Did you hit your head at the game yesterday?”
“On a diet, huh?”
“Yeah. That’s it. I don’t want to go to your place for dessert because I’m on a diet.”
“Well, that’s just a shame.”
