About Driving Whiskey Wild:

Driving Whiskey Wild is a captivating story of healing, trust, and finding everlasting love in the most unlikely places. Special Forces veteran and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club member Bullet Whiskey lives to protect his family, their bar, and the residents of his small hometown. He's rough, unapologetic, and haunted by a secret, painful past. He's also a master at keeping people away, and when his sister hires gorgeous and sweet Finlay Wilson to help expand their biker bar, he knows just how to get rid of her. After losing her boyfriend and her father, Finlay moves back to her hometown to be closer to the little family she has left. She needs her temporary job at Whiskey Bro's to get her catering business off the ground, and she's determined not to let the gruff, arrogant mountain of a man Bullet Whiskey scare her off. Finlay is everything Bullet has never wanted. She's afraid of his dog, afraid of motorcycles, and sweet enough to give him cavities, but as she weaves her way into the hearts of everyone around him, he's powerless to resist her charms. Passion ignites, but trust doesn't come easily, and when their pasts collide, Bullet finds out the true meaning of protecting those he loves.

Review by Heather Mc:

This is my first book of this series by Melissa, but it won’t be my last.  It was a book I couldn’t wait to turn the page but at the same time never wanted it to end.

Bullet and Finlay have some serious chemistry and they are complete opposites. She is afraid of everything he stands for and loves and he has never fell for anyone like her.

Bullet is bearded and tattooed and does not let anyone get close. Whiskey is so closed-off it's a wonder he even knows how to smile. Finlay comes in all sweet.  Bullet won’t show it but he knew right away he was attracted to Finlay.

It was awesome watching this tough guy fall for the sweet girl and the sweet girl see past the tough man in front of her.

What I did enjoy was it wasn’t just an easy paved road but the journey was worth the read.  This is a 5 star for me.

Excerpt:

Someone is ringing my fucking doorbell. I was at the hospital until the wee hours, I was finally in a deep, lovely sleep, and someone is ringing the bell.
All I know for sure is, this had better not be the damn door-to-door people trying to sell me a vacuum. Or a magazine. Or Jesus.
I wrap my robe around me, stumbling toward the door. I pull it open and am surprised to find an excited Sadie and a ridiculously sexy Brad standing at my door.
“Is that coffee?” I ask.
“For you,” he confirms and holds it out to me.
“Come to mama,” I mutter and take it from his hand, taking a grateful sip. Sadie brushes past my leg, into the house, and curls up on my couch.
“She’s not supposed to be on the furniture,” Brad says.
“My house, my rules,” I reply and take another sip of the one thing in this world I’m addicted to, and give him a once over from head to toe. “You look like you got about as much sleep as I did.”
“Rough night?” he asks without confirming or denying.
“Babies,” I reply with a shrug. “You?”
He just shrugs. “Are you going to ask me in?”
“Sure.” I back up and gesture him into the room. “Sorry, I was sleeping pretty good. My energy level is about equal to a sloth on Xanax.”
“I can leave and let you go back to bed.”
His eyes roam up and down my body, reminding me that I’m just in a robe and nothing else. His green eyes are hot, and every muscle in his body is tight.
Even sleep deprived, I can tell when a man is in the mood.
“You’ve brought me coffee. I’ll never kick you out when you’ve done that.”
“I’ll remember that,” he says with a chuckle.
“Besides, I have plenty of room.” I turn and walk into my bedroom, glancing behind me to see that he’s following me. He makes a hand gesture at Sadie, which I assume means stay. “We can take a nap,” I suggest.
His lips twitch, but he doesn’t say anything when he joins me next to the bed. He takes my coffee and sets both of our cups on the bedside table.
“Is that what you want, Hannah?” he murmurs and skims his fingertips down my arms.
“Eventually.”

Meet Kristen:

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.

An Ex for Christmas by Lauren Layne

Synopsis:

When a psychic tells spunky, superstitious Kelly Byrne that she’s already met her true love, she becomes obsessed with the idea of tracking him down before Christmas. Kelly immediately writes up an “Ex List” and starts contacting old boyfriends to figure out which one is the one. When her college sweetheart rolls into town, Kelly convinces herself that they’re meant to be. The trouble is, sparks are flying with someone she’s never given a chance: her best friend, Mark.

Mark Blakely has watched the guys on Kelly’s list break her heart, and he’s not looking forward to watching them do it all over again. Mark’s always been there for her, but the timing’s never worked out for their relationship to be something more. Now, just as Mark is ready to move on, the sexual tension between them is suddenly off the charts. With Christmas morning around the corner, he just hopes Kelly will wake up and realize that everything she wants has been right in front of her all along.

Review by Heather Mc:

Lauren Layne is new to me and I have been meaning to read her books. What I can say is this book was fun, exciting and gave you all of the feels. An Ex for Christmas was such a sweet and funny Christmas story. I love reading Christmas stories in the Christmas season and when I saw this I immediately was drawn into the lightheartedness it seemed to be and boy did it deliver. Kelly is a bit superstitious and believes in signs and sometimes it is to a fault. She seems to allow this to rule her universe and while I can understand the concept she takes it to a whole new level. There is excitement and fun moments but while she is going through her list with her best friend Mark’s help can she see what is right under her nose the whole time. I loved Mark, he was a loyal and sometimes grouchy best friend and I loved him. Kelly was the perfect blend of girly girl and smartass. It felt like an awesome hallmark movie and I loved Mark and Kelly, 4 awesome stars.

Baby Daddy by Kendall Ryan is ALMOST HERE!

PLEASE SHARE THE BABY DADDY PREORDER TODAY!!!

hot and hilarious new standalone from New York Times bestseller Kendall Ryan.

We met in a trapped elevator.

Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie.

I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right?

At thirty-five, my life hadn’t taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting—I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen.

After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner—he also insisted on something else—that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy. He was a wealthy and powerful CEO with little interest in diapers or playdates. And since he didn’t want kids, I’d be on my own once his bun was in my oven, free to go my own way.

But once his baby was inside me, it was like a switch had been flipped, and I got a whole lot more than I ever bargained for.

This full-length standalone contains a hot, swoonworthy hero, lots of playful banter and some hot baby-making! Enjoy.

Review by Kelly:

One of the hottest, most soul-crushing, darkest mafia romances I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. Chase is lost. The man we knew and loved has expired and in his place is raw rage encased in a plot for revenge. There's no hope, no light. She thinks she can be the reason, the change. She thinks too much. Or does she? Cracks begin to appear in my hardened shell, pieces start to break. I have nothing left to live for yet she makes me feel. Her innocence stirs my soul. No! I have to keep going. Nothing can bring me back. Revenge will be my only salvation. Blood in. No out.

The Copper Smith Farmhouse

Synopsis:

Gigi has just uprooted her whole world to start a new life. The unexpected gift of a farmhouse in small-town Montana is just what she and her daughter need to escape big-city loneliness. The last thing she needs is attitude from the town’s sheriff, the most perfectly attractive and ruggedly handsome man she’s ever laid eyes on―and a complete jerk.  Jess knows all about women like Gigi. Beautiful. Sexy. Scheming. She’s stolen his sanctuary, the farmhouse that should have been his. But along with a face full of freckles, she’s got a sharp wit and a backbone of steel―something he doesn’t discover until after making a complete fool of himself. If he can earn back her trust and win her heart, he might just find the home he’s always needed.

Review by Heather Mc.:

Gigi and her daughter Rowen inherit The Copper Smith Farmhouse in Prescott Montana from her elderly friend Ben.  Ben left Prescott after his wife passed never to return, however, he kept his farmhouse and he left Jesse (Brick) to take care of and maintain the house in his absence.  You see Ben took Jesse under his wing as a child when he had a hard home life, he taught him, he helped him, he cared for him like a father and it was very hard on Jesse when Ben left but he understood.  He always LOVED the farmhouse and his heart was broken when he found that Ben left the house to Gigi and Rowen.  He thought the worst of Gigi and was not very welcoming.  Gigi was struggling because she didn’t understand his hostility when Ben said he was an amazing man and everyone in town loved the Sheriff.

Slowly but surely Jesse learns the truth and sets out to make things right.  Now starts a love affair that is sweet and fun and exciting.  Not only between Jesse and his Georgia but also Jesse and Rowen, his “Little Bit”, watching him with her was adorable.  Their initial happiness is short-lived.  There is danger in Prescott, Jesse needs to find out what is happening and who is bringing all of the drugs in.  Who is stealing from the towns people, who is threatening the serenity they all know and love.

I have to say that I started this series out of order and it was fine, however, you NEED to read them all, just because they are all awesome.  Devney Perry makes you feel like you are there, she endears her characters, even when they are being jerks.  She makes you feel and she makes you see and you feel like you know them.  While I will admit this is not my favorite of the series I still feel this is a 5 star read, all are.  Please do yourself a favor and pick up the Jamison Valley Series you will thank me.

I was given an advanced copy for my honest review.

One Lucky Cowboy by Carolyn Brown

SYNOPSIS:

Jane Day is on the run from a former fiancé who's out to kill her. In Wichita Falls, Texas, she meets Nellie Luckadeau, a spitfire of an old lady who desperately needs someone to work on her ranch. But Nellie's drop-dead gorgeous grandson "Lucky Slade" is sure he can spot a con artist a mile away. He's determined not to let some upstart like Jane fleece his granny.  When his signature intimidation methods don't convince Jane to leave, he pours on the charm to make her spill what she's up to. She's happy to play along, but she's not going to let this hot, hostile cowboy run her off his land when all she needs is a lucky break...

When Jane can’t sleep the night before her wedding it was divine intervention that stopped her from making the biggest mistake of her life and saved her life in the process.  She could never have known where she would land would bring her to her home, her real home.

When Slade saw the new maid his Grandmother hired he immediately knew something was wrong, he thought she was for sure a con artist.  Can Jane make Slade see that she isn’t, does she even want too?  Slade and Jane’s relationship from the very beginning was tumultuous, it was a hate/hate/maybe like/hate/hate/like to love relationship.  Jane was a good character who at times could be strong, independent, caring but also immature little girl.  Slade was a strong, stubborn, caring but also could be an immature boy.

REVIEW by Heather Mc:

I struggle with this review because I do not want to give away any spoilers and I also don’t want to sound like I did not enjoy the book because I did.  What I typically not like in a book worked in One Lucky Cowboy and what I typically like would have taken away from storyline of the book.  The only thing I would have changed is at time it seemed angst was simply there to create angst where it wasn’t needed.  Kind of a 1 step forward 2 steps back situation, if that was tamed down a bit I would easily give the book 4.5 stars.  With that and some inconsistencies within the book I have to say it is a 3.5 star read but the storyline was a 4.5 star read.  I definitely think it is worth a read and I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
