I have to be honest. I bought this book solely on the cover. The cover is absolutely stunning. When I read what the book was about, I was intrigued as well. Tade Astor is quite the perfect book boyfriend. His father is a politician. He is trying to live the normal life at a small college, spending his time on the water, on the row team. He loves to sail as well.

He stumbles upon Reagan and she makes him feel. Makes him want. Want things that he vowed he'd never do. There is something that intrigues him about her from the moment he laid eyes on her. Tade is into one night stands. One and done, no strings attached. What is it about Reagan that makes him want more?

Reagan knows Tade's type. Love em and leave em. Or shall I say screw them and leave them. Tade sets out to prove that his reputation doesn't define who he is. Tade wants to spend time with Reagan, so when she agrees, he goes all out.

This story was hard to read at times. There are flashbacks in the book of some disturbing events. At times I wasn't quite sure who endured them. By the end of the book, there was a OH MY GOODNESS moment.

The past collides with the present at full force. Enough to knock the wind out of you. The ending is EPIC.

I adore Tade and it warmed my heart how he treated Reagan. He never pushed her to do anything she wasn't ready for. He was always honest with her and in return only asked her to trust him.

Because of Him has some dark points, yet it is heartwarming and will definitely tug on your heartstrings. The characters in this story are strong, and the story is VERY well written. I love the sub-characters, and hope there will be more to their stories to come.

Do I recommend this book. ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY !!!!! Your heart will go on a rollercoaster ride that you will not want to get off.

REVIEW:

If you follow J.M. Darhower you know she is a HUGE fan of comics and heroes. Ghosted is not the usual type of story that the author is known to write. I know her for her amazing MAFIA/MOB stories which I am obsessed with. So when I read the synopsis to GHOSTED, I was very intrigued to see what she could do with a second chance romance that didn't involve someone being killed or tortured (insert smirk)

So lets discuss GHOSTED. Kennedy and Jonathan have a past, one that seems to come back and bite them both in the rear-end. Jonathan has made mistakes in life, but life is about forgiveness. If we learn from our mistakes, don't we deserve a second chance?

When Jonathan makes a name for himself in the movie industry, he forgot the girl that has stood by his side. His biggest supporter. Jonathan became a stranger to Kennedy. Kennedy began to lose herself as well. When Kennedy needed Jonathan the most, he wasn't there. He didn't have the time of day for her. The words he spoke to her were never forgotten. Those words would haunt him for years.

When Kennedy and Jonathan's life collide several years later, it doesn't just effect Kennedy, there is a beautiful little girl involved... their daughter. For years, he hasn't had relationship with his daughter. He is only a paycheck that her mother, Kennedy refuses to cash. Kennedy wants nothing from Jonathan. Not his money, not his flirtatious smiles, and certainly not his love.

So what happens, when Jonathan sets out to make amends for his mistakes? What happens when the super hero his daughter is obsessed with, turns out to him? Her dad is a real life super hero. Will Kennedy give him a second chance? Can young love conquer all? Or are some mistakes unforgivable?

I enjoyed this book. It was very unexpected from the author. I enjoyed seeing this side of her. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I jumped for joy when I saw that we were getting Racer's book. We all loved the intensity of Racer's father, Remy, so I knew that Katy Evans would deliver an intense book for his son.

So.... where do I begin. Racer is Remy and Brooke's son. The love that these two had for each other was off the charts. It was memorable. So when two people love the way they do, I knew their child would as well.

Racer is known as "The Best Illegal Street Racer" in St. Petersburg, Florida. He has made quite the name for himself.

Lana's family owns a Formula 1 Race Team. They need a driver. So when Lana takes the responsibility to set out to find a driver to save their team, she heads to St. Pete's to scout out a practice facility. Little did she know, her life would change the day she arrived.

Lana's driving skills may not be the best, but Racer's are. The moment these two collide, literally, their lives change. Racer falls in love with her expressive eyes. Lana is drawn to his sea-blue eyes. Eyes that she can't seem to look away from.

When Racer is given the opportunity to try out for their team, he jumps at the chance. Does he do it to become a race car driver? Does it do it to spend more time with Lana?

Throughout this book, Racer took hold of my heart. He made my heart race, my pulse speed. Lana is a strong woman. Knows what she wants, yet she is afraid to go for it. Fear of what her family will say, fear of feeling again, fear of loving again, fear of losing someone she loves again.

Racer is raw and intense, making my heart pound. So much emotion, so much angst. Racer is EPIC.

I’m still reeling. While people approach him, he cuts a path straight to me, his gaze penetrating and target-like; making me want to bolt. His lips do that little upward tilt they do that seems so sexy, and for a second, I feel like I’m lightheaded. I gulp, and then feel mad at myself for acting like some idiot as fucking devil-Racer Tate reaches me, throws himself into a seat next to me, and turns to look at me expectantly with the most gorgeous grin on his face. I don’t know what to say. This guy has left me sort of speechless. “So … ” I say, staring in the distance at his beat-up mustang, then at him. “So … ” he says too, in his deep voice, his smile a little more wicked than it was two seconds ago. He glances at my mouth.

Oh god. Why am I licking my lips? It only made his eyes narrow and darken. I open my mouth to speak, failing to find words. He smells like sweat and soap and shampoo, and I feel my traitorous nipples push up to my top again. Why do they do that when he’s around?

“This is illegal,” I state. His voice is husky from exertion, and his eyes glint with laughter.

“That’s why it’s fun.” I look away from his eyes, trying to focus and clear my head. He leans over and peers into my face, his face shadowed by the moonlight and his jaw now carrying a little scruff. “Are we in agreement?” he presses. “No.” I glare and shake my head, meeting his cocky gaze. “You’re reckless, Racer.” “So are you, Alana.” “It’s just … Lana.” His brows fly up in surprise. “And a bit of a liar too.” I purse my lips, still glaring as my gaze goes back to his car. Girls are rubbing against it as if it were him, and I find it disgusting. Why are women always acting so slutty around race car drivers and bad boys? “You crashed your car,” I say flippantly. “You crashed my car,” he contradicts, amused. I laugh, then scowl in his direction. “You crashed it more. I can’t believe you were making such a fuss about me crashing into you when it was just a little kiss—” He leans in to peck my lips—fast but firmly.

“That’s a kiss.” I lose my breath. My eyes wide. He eases back, lips smiling as he comes to his feet and stretches his hand out to take me by the elbow and help me to my feet. “Let’s get out of here.” He starts walking, leading the way. “And go where?” “Anywhere I can get my hands on you.”

I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.

So, here goes.

We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.

But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.

The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.

So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.

No questions asked.

Think about it.

Or don’t.

Whatever you choose.

It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.

I believe this is the best book that these two have written so far. I picked up the book and I was not able to put this book down. Not joking. I was on a business trip and I ended up taking my kindle with me everywhere just so I can sneak some reading in. It was not professional at all, but I was so engrossed in the story I needed to keep reading. This is definitely one that you won't want to miss out on.

Bridget and Simon met the first time under unusual circumstances. The attraction was there from the start but they thought they would never see each other again. As faith would have it, they're pretty much thrown in to be together. They both come from different worlds. They both want different things in life and they both have different goals for the future.

Simon is a man who knows what he wants. Even when what he wants isn't ideal and it would end up being a bad idea. Bridget is cautious about everything that she does. She's pretty much a thinker. I can relate to that because I over think every single decision. Simon is a very persistent man though. As much as Bridget resists, Simon has a way of pulling her in. They both know this isn't the best idea ever, but in this case the attraction may actually win over. Simon can definitely pull me in any day. LOL

Bridget is such a strong and independent person. She works very hard in everything that she does. She puts others before herself and has pretty much closed herself off in the opposite sex. Bridget has such a good head on her shoulders. Her strength and determination is what made me cheer her on. Simon...sigh... His looks and his accent will just make you turn in to goo. But that's not what made me fall for him. He is such a hard worker and so determined to help others. I was able to see a softer side to him. He was able to read Bridget even before she knew what she herself wanted. He was so in tuned with her and her thoughts. When it came to Bridget, she always came first. This was a first for him.

The chemistry between these two were off the charts. Even when nothing sexual is happening you can just sense it. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward did such a fantastic job writing this book, I was able to place myself into the book with the characters. I was able to see what they were doing and be able to feel their feelings. I went through many emotions while reading this book. I sure did laugh a lot, Simon will do that to you. But my heart did break at certain points in good ways and in bad.

Do yourself a favor. Go get this book now and fall in love with Bridget and Simon.
