With a quick smack and a groan, I silenced the alarm and rolled over to my stomach to shove my head into the fluff of my pillow.
“Oh my God,” I grumbled.
Even the sound of my own voice was grating.
Great, I thought. This should make work interesting.
I grabbed my phone off of my nightstand, rolled back onto my back, and typed out a quick message.
Me: So, apparently, you’re a sadist.
A reply popped up nearly immediately.
Charlotte: Wimp.
Me: I’m actually sore.
Charlotte: It takes time to acclimate to the dance life. You’ve got good moves, though. Be proud, soldier, be proud.
Me: Oh, so I suppose you’re completely fine?
Charlotte: Yep. ;)
Me: I kind of hate you.
Charlotte: That wears off. Trust me. Pretty soon you won’t be able to live without me.
REVIEW:
I apologize for my post being late. My furbaby had surgery to remove a large mass from her leg, so I have been a little-swamped tending to her.
I spent Sunday reading Dr. Neuro, and boy did I enjoy it. Let's discuss Dr. Nick Raines. We all know him as Lexi's father, who in turn is Winnie's EX. Let me be honest, I was not a fan of him when we first met him a few books back. In fact, I thought he was an obnoxious douchebag.
BUT... let me say, there are always two sides to a story, and in Dr. Neuro we get Nicks. I loved how awkward he was with Charlotte. His flirting skills were off, or shall I say non-existent. Charlotte is a straight shooter and I LOVE that in a heroine.
The two of them cross paths, but it doesn't quite end there just because Dr. Brain Surgeon says so. Their relationship was VERY realistic, probably some may have experienced similar things. When there are children involved, sometimes it's not all about what WE want. We need to take the kids into consideration.
So what will happen with Nick and Charlotte when their pasts collide with the present? Will the two of them have a future together?
I enjoyed this story. Nick won my heart over.....
