After the Kiss (Sex, Love, & Stiletto Series Book 1) by Lauren Layne

Lauren Layne kicks off her Sex, Love & Stiletto series with a delightful short novel! InAfter the Kiss, the star columnist of Stiletto magazine will do anything for a story. Anything . . . except fall in love.

Julie Greene loves flings. Loves steamy first dates, sizzling first kisses, and every now and then, that first sexy romp between the sheets. Comfy pants, sleepy Sundays, movie nights on the couch? Shudder. But when Julie gets assigned the hardest story of her career—a first-person account of that magical shift between dating and “I do”—she’ll need a man brave enough to give a total commitment-phobe a chance at more.

Normally, Mitchell Forbes would be exactly that man. A devastatingly hot workaholic who tends to stay in relationships for far too long, he should be the perfect subject for Julie’s “research.” But what Julie doesn’t know is that Mitchell is looking to cut loose for once in his life. And the leggy journalist notorious for avoiding love is exactly the type of no-strings fling he’s looking for. In other words, Mitchell is the polar opposite of what Julie needs right now. And, at the same time, he’s exactly what she wants.

Julie is suppose to write a story for Stiletto Magazine regarding the next steps to first dates, first kisses .. What comes after "movie night" ..

She has never been in love, been on a ton of dates and some even lasted more than a few weeks. But they weren't relationships.

Mitchell on the other hand, is the opposite. He is just getting out of a two year relationship. His friend Colin makes a bet with him that he can't just have a "fling" that he always has to look at the future and "movie nights".. He agrees to find a girl who is just a fling and swears he will win this bet. He and Julie meet and have dinner and the story goes from there. Does Julie ever write her article and who wins the bet?

I love the way Lauren writes. I have read a few of her books already and I always fall in love with all the characters. I loved the bickering and teasing between Julie and Mitchell. I was laughing out loud through some of the scenes in the book! I am now moving on to the second book in the series!

I highly recommend!~ Its a great Romantic Comedy! This review was prepared by Jeanine. An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.
