Because much like my mother, I was alive but barely living. - Dovey

I have had this Novella on my kindle for quite some time. So when I finally had a break in my tour schedules, I sat down at read the rest of the books in the Briarcrest Academy Series. 
This is a quick read and it is just enough to give you what you need to fall in love with Cuba Hudson and Dovey.

This is why I loved it. Cuba and Dovey come from different sides of the track. She had a horrible childhood, yet when she walked the halls of Briarcrest Academy, one would never know. She was there to dance and dance is what she did.  

One day while Cuba was on the football field practicing, he glanced toward the building near the field. Something caught his eye... It was Dovey... Everything changed from that point on. His world was knocked off it's axis.  He was literally knocked off his. 

So what do you do when the one thing you want, wants nothing to do with you. His reputation followed him. Will Dovey give him to chance to prove himself? Will Dovey hold his past against him, if she has a past of her own?  

I guess if you want the answers, then you'll have to read Very Wicked Beginnings to see how Dovey and Cuba kicked things off in their relationship.  Just keep in mind. Everything is always how they appear to be.
