I Wish You Were Mine by Lauren Layne

A year ago, Jackson Burke was married to the love of his life and playing quarterback for the Texas Redhawks. Now he’s retired, courtesy of the car accident that ruined his career—and single, after a nasty scandal torpedoed his marriage. Just as he’s starting to get used to his new life as a health and fitness columnist for Oxford magazine, his unpredictable ex shows up on his doorstep in Manhattan. Jackson should be thrilled. But he can’t stop thinking about the one person who’s always been there for him, the one girl he could never have: her younger sister.

Mollie Carrington can’t say no to Madison. After all, her older sister practically raised her. So when Madison begs for help in winning her ex-husband back, Mollie’s just glad she got over her own crush on Jackson ages ago—or so she thought. Because as Mollie reconnects with Jackson, she quickly forgets all her reasons to stay loyal to her sister. Tempted by Jackson’s mellow drawl and cowboy good looks, Mollie is sick and tired of coming in second place. But she can’t win if she doesn’t play the game.

REVIEW:

I loved Jackson and Molly! Jackson was a quarterback for the Texas RedHawks until a horrible car accident took away his ability to play again. Football was his whole life. His wife divorced him, and he moved to New York and started working at Oxford magazine. He needed a fresh start until he could hopefully get a coaching job back in Texas. Then he meets up with Molly, his ex wife's sister. Her and Jackson have always been best friends, and Molly has always had a secret crush on him. Molly was looking for a new roommate and Jackson offered her his place. After a little bit, things starting changing between them.... The way they looked at each other, small touches that sent electric sparks between the both of them, and then of course the kiss of a lifetime that was a "mistake" so they thought. What will Jackson do when he gets the call about the coaching job? Does he move back to Texas and leave Molly behind and return to his cheating ex wife?  Read to find out!!!

Molly and Jacksons story had me not wanting to put it down. I was addicted and of course the Oxford men didn't disappoint. They had me laughing out loud throughout the book. I seriously can not WAIT for Lincoln's story. He's been a favorite of mine. I highly recommend reading this series!!!!!!!!!! Five stars from me !
