REVIEW:
The night started out with Evangeline's girlfriends getting her all prettied up and looking gorgeous to go to the club with a VIP pass to hopefully run into her ex there to make him see what exactly he messed up, ended up taking a strange twist. That's when she meets Drake.
Evangeline has the worst self esteem and Drake proves to her over and over again just how beautiful she really is. It took a lot for Drake to finally gain Evangeline's total trust beings she just had a really bad break up and has always looked down upon herself in general. But she eventually gives Drake all of her. But what she wants in return, she may never have. She wants Drake. Not his money, not his extravagant gifts, she just wants him.
Things take a strange twist. Drake is having a "business meeting" at the house and well, I won't give too much away but Evangeline wanted to surprise him. He wants her no where near these horrible people he is meeting with. What he does to her is incredibly horrible when they show up and she is there. Apparently he didn't have a choice and was "protecting"
her.
I'm looking forward to book 2 especially because Maya doesn't really go much into what Drake actually does... We get a little bit at the end when he's at his meeting but I'm dying to see what Drake does to try and get Evangeline back. I was definitely left wanting more. I'm looking forward to book 2!
