Every day under his protection leads her deeper under his masterful spell.

Are you ready to play?
Yet all is not as it seems. To remove Natalie from an enemy’s reach, Sevastyan spirits her into hiding. From an opulent palace in Russia to the decadent playgrounds of the mega-wealthy in Paris, the two lovers will discover that even their darkest—and most forbidden—fantasies can come true…

Review:

Looking for a hot read? The Professional is scorching once you get past the frustration. Both Sevastyan and Natalie are annoying at times. You want to shake some sense into them, but it plays well in the story.

Natalie’s problem is of the be careful what you wish for, you just might get it sort. As an adoptee, she decides to try to find her biological parents. Unfortunately, her discovery leads to fortune and misfortune. Natalie knows she’s attracted to Sevastyan from the moment she meets him. Once she tries to get to know him, she’s not sure she likes him. On top of that she’s thrust into a life that she isn’t prepared for. She doesn’t know the rules, and for every rule she’s told about there seems to be one she only finds out after the fact.

Oh what a tangled web…Sevastyan is a man with a past (aren’t they all). He tries to do the “honorable” thing, but once that doesn’t work out, he decides to make a move for what he wants. And Natalie is what he wants. He has an unfailing loyalty to Natalie’s father, which causes him to make the toughest decision of his life when he has to choose between the two.

Sevastyan and Natalie are like a dance—one step forward, two steps back. Sexually they’re compatibility is off the charts. Everywhere else is a wreck in the making. Natalie wants to know everything about Sevastyan, but he fears what she will find out. By trying to keep her, he’s pushing her further and further away.

There are a few secondary characters that propel the story forward. Natalie’s best friend, Jess, is over the top and downright annoying, so I ignored her. Otherwise, it was  an enjoyable read. I’m interested to see if Sevastyan’s brothers get their own books. A steamy read with a somewhat predictable, yet enjoyable, storyline.
