BLOG TOUR - Interview with The Invisibles (Let Me Love #3 by Michelle Lynn)

Character Interview:

A Saturday afternoon bar-b-que at Brady and Sadie’s. It’s a beautiful afternoon. The kids are running around, enjoying the attention. You would never guess this house was home to a rowdy rock band focused on chicks and partying not so long ago.

Heather - “So, now that the kids are occupied on the Slip-N-Slide, let’s get down to business. Our first question is for Trey and Kailey. How is life with three kids under five?”

Trey – “Fuckin’ nuts!” he says with a big smile.

Kailey – She laughs. “It’s definitely hectic.” Trey looks down at her, and they share a look so full of love you can practically feel it.

Brady – “Have you been to dinner at their house? You need a hazmat suit.” He shakes his head.

Trey – “It’s not that bad. A little spaghetti sauce on your shirt isn't the end of the world. You need to get used to it, you’ll have your turn.” He stretches the arm around Kailey’s shoulder and pushes and playful shoves Brady’s shoulder.

Jessa – “They actually need to get married first,” she chimes in.

Sadie – “Hey, it didn’t stop you from getting knocked up.” Sadie jokes and giggles while Jessa narrows her eyes.

Heather stepping in for a minute before we get into Springer territory.

Heather – “So is there going to be a wedding in the near future?”

Jessa - "I was barely pregnant, okay! At the rate you’re going, you'll be pregnant before you get married. You're taking so damn long,” She gives a little shoulder raise, as if back at you.
Sadie - "YES! I just…" she looks at Brady, "WE want it to be special.”

Brady - "Baby, it will be special whether we get married today or six months from now. All that matters is we’re there."
Sadie - "I know." She places her palm on his cheek. Then she turns to
Heather. "You know it really isn't up to us, Heather. Maybe you should ask Michelle."

Heather - “All right, Michelle, you’re in the hot seat. When will Brady and Sadie be getting married?”

Michelle - "You will be getting Brady and Sadie's happily ever after, I promise. I'll just say, The Invisibles Series started with Brady and Sadie's love story, so it's only fitting that it …let’s just say the series will end with a novella."

Heather - “You’re going to make all of us Brady lovers wait until after Rob’s book to get Brady and Sadie’s happily ever after? Speaking of Rob, where is he?”

Trey - “He’s on kid duty. Monitoring the Slip-N-Slide progress.”

Heather - Looking aghast, yells, “YOU LET ROB WATCH THE KIDS!!!!

Grant - "Well, he is on their intellectual level," he sneers, and Jessa places her hand in his.

Kailey - “Surprisingly, he’s actually pretty good with kids. They bring out a totally different side to him. It’s like he forgets to be a male chauvinist asshole, and the human side comes out.” Everyone laughs.

Trey - “He's really good with them for short periods of time. I’m still not sure he’s not teaching them bad habits. I mean, Drew has suddenly become fascinated with running naked through the house.”

Kailey - "That's just his age. The girls did it too," she assures him.

Trey - “WHAT?”

Kailey - “Why are you shocked? You still want to run around naked?”

Trey - "I want you to run around naked with me. Big difference." He winks down at her, and then sneaks a chaste kiss to her lips.

Everybody – Groans and shouts of, “T.M.I., T.M.I., Trey!” fill the air.

Brady - "Everyone complains about me and Sadie, but you should see these two. They take the PDA to a whole other level."

Trey - “Honestly, he seems slightly different lately. Right guys?

Sadie and Brady - "Yeah." They nod their heads.

Grant - "Um…NO." He crosses his arms over his chest and vigorously shakes his head in disagreement.

Jessa - Placing her arm on Grant's forearm. "These two just have more to work out."
Heather - “I take it Rob won’t be the manny for Baby Bishop?”
Grant - "Absolutely NOT! He won't be allowed to come within ten feet of her." He keeps his focus on Heather, while everyone else gasps.
Jessa - Slaps his arm, and he looks down at her. "Grant!" she scolds.
Grant - Turns to focus on his wife, and then it hits him. “Shit…sorry, babe.” His shoulders slump.
The whole group sits up and faces the two of them, waiting for the announcement.
Heather - Perks up at the scoop. “Her?”
Jessa - "SURPRISE! We're having a girl." She waves her hands in the air. “Guess we won’t be doing that whole find out the gender party,” she jokes.
Heather - “Do you have a name picked out?”
Jessa – Sighing, she answers, “Grant and I have been talking to Michelle, but, so far, none of us agree.”
Heather - “Liz, stop drooling over Rob and let us in on the secret, has Michelle given you a hint?”
Liz - “Hmm…what? Oh the name? Nope. She’s playin’ this one close to the chest. She’s told me it will be a surprise. Anytime she writes the baby’s name there’s a question mark. I know Michelle seems all sweet and everything, but she’s really into torture.”
Michelle - “Excuse me,” she giggles.

Grant - "We agree on one thing. My mom's name will be in some part of her name as a way to honor her influence on our lives."
Jessa - "Yes, she will."
Michelle - "Of course."
Heather - “Come on, Michelle, give us a hint.”
Michelle: "Sorry everyone! It will be announced once she's ready to make her appearance."
Jessa - “Which is hopefully very soon.” She swivels to Michelle’s direction. “So you better be ready Michelle. My baby can’t go as Baby Bishop for long.”
Michelle - “I’ve already talked with L—,” she stops and bites her lip. “I mean, don’t worry, I’ll be more than ready.”
Heather - “Jessa, is your family excited about the baby?”
Jessa - Brings her attention back to Heather. “Hell yes! You would think no one had ever had a baby before. My mom and Sam go shopping every day. We could have triplets and have enough left over to outfit a basketball team.”
Heather - “Speaking of Sam, is she coming to visit soon?”
Trey - Shaking his head. “They should call you the spoon, Heather.”
Heather - “The spoon? I don’t cook.”
Trey - “Yeah, but you sure do know how to stir the shit.”
Heather - “I’m only asking what the readers want to know.”
Jessa - Narrowing her eyes at Trey. “Yeah, she’s coming to visit. All Michelle will tell us is it’s going to be complicated.”
Heather - “Is that why Dex isn’t here?”
Michelle - “Dex is dealing with some stuff,” she chimes in before anyone can add anything
Heather - “As in Chrissy stuff?”
Michelle - “Guess you’ll have to read his book to find out.” She shrugs her shoulders.
Heather - “Oh come on, dude, give us a hint—is it Sam or Chrissy?”
Michelle - “You’ll know when Dex knows.” She remains tight lipped.
Liz - “See, I told you she was cruel.”
Michelle - “Am not,” she says in a jokingly childish voice.
Liz – “Are too,” argues back.
Heather – “Okay, I can see this turning ugly. I want to be like Oprah, not Ricki Lake, so we’ll close for now. Thanks for sitting down with me,” she’s interrupted by a huhhmm, “I mean us, although, part of us did nothing but ogle the resident jackass.”
Liz – “Jackasses need love, too. Just wait, you’ll see when the time comes.”
Heather – “Yeah, uhhuh, good luck with that Michelle.”
Michelle – “I’ll need all the luck I can get when it comes to Dex and Rob, trust me.”
Trey – “Shit, who needs a beer?”
Brady and Grant – Jumping up like their asses are on fire, make their escape.
Heather – “Well, until next time, ladies, keep your men in line. And thanks for sharing them with us.”
Kailey: "Thank you for having all of us, Heather. Who knows which girl will be joining us next time." All eyes peer over at Michelle, and she shakes her head.

Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids.  She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write.   With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends.  But after chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.
