SYNOPSIS:
Losing your ability to
speak at the age of seventeen; it’s not normal or fair.
But trauma, has a way
of throwing normality out the window.
Dani lives anything
but a normal life.
Her sister is married
to one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Her best friends are
rockstar duo AD2.
And she has more love
around her than most people experience in a lifetime.
But that doesn't
change the fact their parents are dead.
Or that it's her fault.
It seems her new
normal is being a mute, living on the inside, unable to actually communicate on
the outside.
That is until
Hollywood’s newest heartthrob Lincoln Greene hires her as his assistant for the
summer.
He's gorgeous,
completely unavailable, and unobtainable.
But that doesn't stop
her from wondering...if things were different...would he want her?

REVIEW:
Rachel has a way with words. I wish I could be inside her head for
just a few moments to see where she gets the ideas that she does when she
decides to write a book. Capture is a must read book. It is not your typical
love story, there is a back story that will touch your heart and blanket your
sole as you see how Dani works through the struggles of speaking. Life is not
easy and no matter how many times Dani was knocked down, she still managed to
fight. After the tragic loss of her parents and a subsequent incident
afterwards, she becomes a mute.
Dani has been struggling to speak for months. She only knows what
her voice sounds like from memories or what she remembers. Something we take so
easy, such as speaking was difficult for Dani. Dani’s brother in law is an
actor as well as producing a new movie featuring the story of her best friend
who is a world renowned singer. When Dani was assigned to work for Lincoln, who
is staring in the movie as her best friend, she never imaged how much her world
would change.
Lincoln is a Hollywood heartthrob. Lincoln appears to have it all,
but he is missing one thing. Love. He has had his fair share of one
nightstands, but he doesn’t want that with Dani. She is special. She deserves
more. But she is off limits, or at least that is what he reiterates to himself.
Dani is SEVENTEEN. Lincoln likes to remind her that he is seventeen, just in
case she forgets.
When she least expected it, words flowed from her mouth. Did
Lincoln have something to do with it? Was it her excitement of seeing a whale
perform? Was the connection she felt with Lincoln real or was it all an
act?
As lines begin to blur for the two, a friendship turns into so
much more. When the two of them can’t seem to be away from the other, one of
them has to decide what will happen next. Will Lincoln ignore Dani’s age and
follow his heart rather than his brain?
Will Dani push Lincoln until he can’t deny her anymore?
Rachel will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride with the
emotions that both Lincoln and Dani are going through. Not only did I fall in
love Dani and Lincoln, I fell in love with the entire cast from this book.
Rachel has a great line up ahead for this series.
This review was prepared by Heather Davenport. An ARC was received
in exchange for an honest review.
