HOT PICK - Try by Ella Frank

SYNOPSIS:

Try – verb: to make an attempt or effort to do something or in this case…someone.

Sex. Logan Mitchell loves it, and ever since he realized his raw sexual appeal at a young age, he has had no problem using it to his advantage. Men and women alike fall into his bed—after all, Logan is not one to discriminate. He lives by one motto—if something interests you, why not just take a chance and try?

And he wants to try Tate Morrison.

Just coming out of a four-year marriage with an ex-wife from hell, a relationship is the last thing on Tate’s mind. He’s starting fresh and trying to get back on his feet with a new job at an upscale bar in downtown Chicago.

The only problem is, Tate has caught the unwavering and unwelcome attention of Mr. Logan Mitchell – a regular at the bar and a man who always gets what he wants.

Night after night Tate fends off the persistent advances of the undeniably charismatic man, but after an explosive moment in the bar, all bets are off as he finds his body stirring with a different desire than his mind.

As arrogance, stubbornness and sexual tension sizzles between the two, it threatens to change the very course of their lives.

Logan doesn’t do relationships. Tate doesn’t do men. But what would happen if they both just gave in and…tried?

 REVIEW:

I have mad love for Ella Frank’s writing style. She will forever snag me with her hot trailers and great ideas in the synopsis. She always manages to surprise me. Her characters are one of a kind and the heat burns. Yeah… HELLO STALKER ~ Logan and I have a few things in common. He wants Tate, I want Tate. I’m afraid “the suit” is going to win this go around because as Ella will...l tell you their interests lie with a body that is completely different in physicality. So yeah, no yay me. In this case that's an outcome I can support.

Logan is super hot. Showstopper, successful, aggressive with a capital A, add to that coming from the same gene pool as Cole Madison ~ hello can you say yummy and sweet as caramel? ~ I could go on and on but I won’t. You’ll feel it too.

There really is only one thing that doesn’t work for me about Logan. His game plan…Try a sample, take the goods, and then come out on top. Never let things get messy. And this wouldn’t be any different.... Oh Logan how wrong you are buddy. The power shifts and when Tate voices the question “So… what’s your truth, Logan?” LIFE CHANGES.

Tate is absolutely delicious. The descriptive nature of Ella’s writing allowed me picture perfect clarity. Visions of his rock hard body from his state of dress to undress fluttered through my mind. I could almost feel the softness of Tate’s hair. The intensity in his stare down the hallway. It was a bit frightening actually. I felt for them both so much. There is a much much deeper story here than hot guys and sex. I think sometimes people who don't read m/m romance miss that point and pass these by. There is a deeply important story to be read. I felt the confusion, the fear, the desire, the longing, the hesitation, the strength and finally I hoped for the acceptance. Tate has a backbone of steel and I’m pulling for him every step of the way.

Ella does nothing half ass EVER. I was astonished that this is her debut m/m romance. Why the astonishment I don’t really know because to me this story is about attraction, love and bringing forth a new reality with the hope that it will be a better reality for both of them. Ella knows how to write love and attraction so what’s relevant to me is that at the end of the day when someone whispers, “Because I think I could love someone like you.” their gender is irrelevant. I suggest if you have an open mind and heart you give it a TRY. I loved it even if I didn’t come away with the guy(s).

Totally clickable 5 star read. Thanks Ella
