SYNOPSIS:
Thalia is twenty-one and has just finished her sophomore year of college, and is trying to avoid going home to her stifling parents who have a curfew of nine every night, and have a bad habit of treating her like she's still ten years old. Sizzle has an AMAZING storyline and the story flows effortlessly. I was sucked in from the first page.
Thalia is avoiding heading home to her over protective parent's house for the
summer. Her “boyfriend” Liam invited her to spend the summer with him and
his family. Thalia weighs her options, and it isn’t a hard decision, so
she accepts his offer. Thalia and Liam have been seeing each other for
about 6 months, however they have never been intimate. Hell, they only
kissed once, after Thalia had several drinks under her belt and wanted to see
if she felt a sexual connection with Liam. When she kisses him, she feels
nothing, no spark at all. Thalia feels as though they are more like “friends”
rather than boyfriend and girlfriend.
Jack is Liam’s older brother, who is also home for summer break. Jack is
twenty-five and is in his last year of law school. Once he passes the bar,
Jack’s father wants him to become partner in the law firm owned jointly by him
and Lewis. Lewis is Jack’s fiance’s father. Jack is being coerced
into marrying Mia, who he doesn’t love.
Jack is not happy,
and is only going through the motions of marrying Mia because he was given an
ultimatum. Jack has too much to lose, so he is going forward with
marrying Mia to make “everyone” around him happy. Jack is living his life
on auto pilot, as his life has been mapped out for him by his father.
There are only a few things in life that Jack enjoys, one being singing in his
band with his best friends, Donovan and Reece. Jack has kept this little
secret to himself, because he knows his father would frown upon it. His
father thinks he stopped singing when he was in high school. But Jack needs
this. He needs an outlet, a chance to be himself.
Liam sees how Jack is struggling just to get by.

Thalia struggles with her feelings for Jack as well. She knows he is supposed to be getting married at the end of the summer. Why can’t she get him out of her mind? Why did she allow herself to have feelings for him when she knew he wasn’t available? What was she thinking when she agreed to come home with Liam?

Sizzle has some twists and turns in the plot. Some that I didn't see
coming. Sizzle is a GREAT book, the title speaks for itself!! Lexi
Buchanan did an amazing job and I tip my hat off to her. The men in
this book are smoking HOT and setting off fire alarms. Jack has muscles,
tattoos, piercings, and might I say, in all the right places (evil smile) He is
every girls rock star fantasy. Not to mention, Reece and Donovan are smoking
hot as well.
I am looking forward to reading Reece's story, I am sure I WILL NOT be disappointed.

As I placed the mic back into the stand, I couldn’t
help but smile in pride. We rocked the place tonight and even ended our turn on
stage with ‘Love, Lost and Found’. It was a slow number to give the guys in the
