CHOICES by SYDNEY LANE

SYNOPSIS:

Fate brought her here, but will her choices destroy her dreams?

Quincy Priest made all the right choices in her small town, black-and-white life. But being perfect is tiring. So. Very. Tiring.

Wanting desperately to step out of her sister's shadow, Quincy jumps at the opportunity to attend college with her best friend. The quiet bookworm with family secrets comes out of her shell. But when Quincy meets not one, but two perfect guys, she has to make a choice. In doing so, she might forfeit the relationship she secretly longed to find.

Declan. Sweet, handsome, and perfect. He makes her feel cherished for the first time in her life.

Brody. Sexy, hot, and irresistible. He could tear down her carefully built walls.

Before she can become the woman she wants to be, Quincy will make mistakes. And suffer one unimaginable loss.

REVIEW:

Quincy Priest is eager to leave her small town and head to college with her best friend, Jenna, to escape her life in Collier, TN. She spent her entire life proving she is not who they think she is. Quincy has an older sister, Katie, who was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder. Everyone in Collier expected her to grow up to be just like her sister.
When she gets to college she meets two perfect guys. Declan is sweet, caring, and all around great guy. He is who you would want to take home to meet the parents. He is tall with dark buzzed hair and dark eyes. Quincy loves spending time with Declan and can open up to him. He doesn’t hide his feelings for her. He tells her that he wants a relationship with her. Then there is Brody. He is hot, sexy, and irresistible. He is much shorter than Declan but more built. His hair has that just rolled out of bed look and he has deep blue eyes. Brody is known for not doing relationships. He makes her feel things that she has never felt before and she can’t turn her back on him, either. Quincy tells herself that she is being naive and that Brody just wants one thing. She must make a choice, but she is scared of losing one of them. When tragedy strikes who will Quincy turn to for comfort?

Quincy was insecure and naive but at the same time she was incredibly strong. Reading along I understood why she had these insecurities. I found myself wanting to scream at her to make her choice. I had a clear choice on who I wanted her to pick. I think this is a great debut for the author and I am excited to read the next book. I highly recommend this book.

“Give me a chance, Quince. You might just like what you find.”
“Quince, I want to be the person you run to. I want to be the one you trust when the darkness falls. I want to know your dreams, and I want to breathe the air you breathe. I want to be the one who makes you smile. I just want to be with you.” Just trust me, Quince! Trust me enough to be with me. Let me love you every day for the rest of your life.”
