About EASY LOVE:

Eli Boudreaux’s family has built ships and boats in Louisiana for generations. He comes from a hardworking, wealthy family and his empire is growing by leaps and bounds. At thirty, he is the youngest CEO to ever head Bayou Enterprises, co-chairing with his eldest brother. His head for business and his no-nonsense work ethic is also quickly making him the best the company has seen in generations. His staff admires him, women adore him and Eli’s family is solid. But he’s recently discovered that someone on the inside of his business is stealing from him and he’s determined to find out who.

Kate O’Shaughnessy is hired by companies all over the world to slip inside and investigate every member of the organization from the CEO down to the custodial staff to find the person or persons responsible for embezzling. She’s excellent at blending, becoming part of the team, and finding the weakest link. She’s smart, quick-witted, and she’s now been hired by Bayou Enterprises, specifically Eli Boudreaux. The attraction is immediate and the chemistry is off the charts, but Kate has heard all about Eli’s playboy past and she has a job to do. Sleeping with the boss isn’t a part of that job, even if just the sound of her name rolling off that Cajun tongue and the way he fills out a designer suit does make her sweat.

Eli’s southern charms surprises Kate. The man whose reputation labels him as a ruthless, callous womanizer is not the man she’s coming to know intimately. He’s generous, protective and makes her smile. Cracking through Kate’s cool, reserved demeanor and discovering her love of sexy, expensive lingerie is a challenge Eli can’t resist, but her sweet nature, love of family and sense of humor pull at him in ways no one else ever has.

But when the person responsible for trying to single-handedly dismantle Eli’s empire comes to light, and it’s time for Kate to move on, to what lengths will Eli go to keep the woman he’s fallen in love with by his side?

REVIEW:

Kristen Proby has created another group of characters that I fell in love with.  When I had to say goodbye to the With Me In Seattle group, I wasn't sure I could love another group as fiercely as I did them.  I knew Kristen would create another group that I would love and let me tell you, the Boudreaux family will warm your heart and have you loving each of them just as we did the Montgomery family.

Easy Love introduces us to the Boudreaux family who live in New Orleans.  The Boudreaux  family consists of Beau, Eli, Savannah, Declan, Charly and Gabby.  All of the Boudreaux brothers are smoking hot, womanizers and totally know how to melt the panties off of any woman.  This family is very close, they look out for each other, the protect each other and they love each other unconditionally.

Kate O’Shaughnessy attended college with Savannah and Declan.  The three of them remained the best of friends.  Kate is called upon by Savannah to help investigate who is stealing money from their family's business.  Kate is thrilled to be in New Orleans spending time with Savannah and Declan, but she knows she is there to do a job.  When she arrives at
Bayou Enterprises, she expected to be greeted by Savannah or Declan, she wasn't prepared to come face to face with their older brother, Eli, with his muscular build, sexy dark hair and his whiskey colored eyes.  Immediately she feels an attraction to him, but she is there for one thing and one thing only.  To find out who is stealing from the company.

Eli Boudreaux doesn't believe in love.  He refuses to allow anyone close enough to know the real Eli.  His main focus is his career and his family.  Eli is pretty much the confirmed manwhore in the family.   He sleeps with women, makes them fall in love with him, then he bails.  Savannah knows how her brother Eli is, thereby warning him to stay away from Kate. She tells Eli Kate is off limits.  Eli has never had the pleasure of meeting Kate, so immediately his interest is peaked.  Why would Savannah ward him off of her as if she is the forbidden fruit?  Will Eli obey his sisters demand?

When Eli and Kate meet sparks fly.  Eli's southern charm surprises Kate.  Eli shows an interest in Kate immediately.  He was drawn to her like a moth to a flame.   The two of them take a liking to each other.  Sure, they can be friends.  But after spending time with each other, is that really what they are... friends?  Can they just be friends?  Will Eli change his manwhoring ways?   Can Eli be in a committed relationship?  Will Kate allow herself to fall for Eli despite her past relationship?  Can she open her heart to another man?  Will that man be Eli?

Eli begins to show a side of himself to Kate that he has never shown anyone before.  Kate is seeing the warmhearted, kind, loving, considerate Eli.  One that few people have seen lately. Kate has managed to find a way in his heart that no woman ever has.  Once she is there, will Eli allow her to stay?  Will he push her away?

I just saw her five minutes ago, and I'm already craving her company.  And that's exactly what it is: I carve her.  Her body, her thoughts, her smile.
All of her.
She's made parts of me come alive that have been long dead, and I'm not sure if I can trust this yearning in my guy, yet I can't help it. ~ Eli

What will Eli do when her time is up at Bayou Enterprises?  Will Eli tell her he is in love with her?  Will Eli ask her to stay when her job is complete?  Will Eli stand by and let Kate walkaway?  What lengths will Eli go to to keep Kate by his side?  Will he let his stubborn ways ruin the one thing that he craves?

"You made a man who's incapable of love fall in love with you." ~ Eli

Kristen knocked the ball out of the park with this book, not that I was surprised.  She has a way of making her characters seem so realistic, like we actually know them.  Kristen left me wanting more, she made me fall in love with Eli along with the rest of the family.  I am excited to see what paths the rest of the characters will go down.  I can see a few hook ups in the future for a few of them. I guess I will have to wait patiently for the rest of the series to be released.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Excerpt:

I carry the pizza to the kitchen, grabbing my iPad on the way, pour myself a glass of wine, then decide screw it and tuck the whole bottle under my arm and walk through my bedroom to the balcony. There is a small wrought iron table with two comfortable, plush chairs out here, and I settle in to watch the sun set and the people wander through the Quarter on their way home from work or walking their dogs, tourists wandering.
It’s like a moving painting, never the same, but familiar. The person who owns the herb shop below me must have got some fresh lavender in today, because the smell is brighter and lovelier than yesterday.
I prop my feet up on the unused chair and nibble on a slice of pizza and sip my wine, perfectly content to stay right here until bedtime.
“Did you get my flowers?”
I turn my head to the left, and there is my neighbor, Eli, sitting in a similar chair, only about ten feet away. And, instantly, I’m pulled toward him in the most elemental way possible.
Which is ridiculous. He’s only a man.
“I didn’t hear you come outside,” I reply.
“You were too busy munching on that pizza and looked about a million miles away.” He props his feet up, laces his fingers behind his head, and flashes me a smile that I feel all the way to my core.
Does he have to be this handsome? Seriously?
I take a sip of my wine, finishing the glass, and refill it.
“Have you had dinner?” I ask.
“No, ma’am.”
“Here.” I pass the pizza box over the ornate railing that separates our balconies. “I have lots of food.” Then I fill my glass and pass him the bottle of wine as well. “But only one glass.”
He stands and disappears into his house, then quickly returns with his own glass and flashes me that heart-stopping smile as he reclaims his seat and takes a big bite of pizza.
“This is good.”
“Hilary said they were the best in the neighborhood,” I inform him.
“Who’s Hilary?” He frowns in confusion, making me grin.
“The woman whose position I took. She trained me today.”
“So, it went well then?” His gaze is sober, and if I’m not mistaken, concerned, making me soften toward him even more.
“It did. No problems.”
“Good.” He chews on his crust and tilts his head at me. “Did you get my flowers?”
I nod slowly. “Why did you send them?”
He opens his mouth to answer, and then chuckles and shakes his head. “I’m not sure. It just felt like the right thing to do.”
“Because you kissed me?”
His smile fades as he watches me over the railing, and I know that the replay of yesterday is running through his head just like it is mine. “No.”
“Did you kiss me because Van told you not to?”
He narrows his eyes in temper, his jaw ticking, and then simply says, “No.”
“Why?”
“The kiss or the flowers?”
“The flowers.” I can figure out the kiss on my own. It’s called chemistry, and we’ve got it in spades.
He frowns and looks into his wine glass. “I don’t know.”
“That’s…not helpful.” I chuckle and offer him another slice of pizza, which he declines with a shake of the head.
“Honestly?”
“Well, I don’t want you to lie to me.”
