While Merriam-Webster Dictionary provides the definition of insidious, Aleatha Romig provides the meaning and feeling of what it is to be insidious.

Victoria hasn’t had an easy life in her first eighteen years. When an act of betrayal by her mother and stepfather lead her to the doorstep of Stewart Harrington, Victoria is faced with a life changing decision. Upon her marriage to Stewart, things in Victoria’s life seem to be looking up for the first time. Unfortunately for Victoria, life with Stewart isn’t as it appears. She’s nothing if not adaptable, so Victoria sets out to fulfill ALL of the demands a marriage to someone like Stewart Harrington requires. All the while, planning her revenge.

Insidious starts just as Victoria’s plans are coming to fruition and then seamlessly bounces back and forth between the past and the present, giving the reader just enough information to keep them on the edge of their seat. Truthfully, the reader won’t know until the last page what the fuck is going on and even then it will be up for debate.

I don’t have to have romance in a story for it to be good, but I do require some sort of satisfaction. Aleatha has constructed the story to satisfy the outcome every reader would want, but she does it without pandering. It’s an ending you have to read to believe, and skipping ahead won’t help you one bit. Insidious lives up to its title indeed, for it will creep into your mind and tease the hell out of you each time you put it down.

Aleatha Romig is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Indiana. She grew up in Mishawaka, graduated from Indiana University, and is currently living south of Indianapolis. Together with her high-school sweetheart and husband of twenty-eight years, they've raised three children. It explores the years in CONVICTED that previously were only mentioned, as well as a complete character glossary and timeline. REVEALED was released May 20, 2014.
