Nicole always manages to make me fall in love with her characters. To feel the pain that they feel, to feel the struggles that they endure. Speechless is an amazing read where you will fall in love with Teague and Hudson.
Teague is a tough cookie. But we should never judge a book by it's cover, without knowing the story. And Let me tell you, Teague has quite a story. Your heart will break for him. You will want to wrap your arms around him and tell him that he deserves to be happy. That all he needs to do is let someone love him. That everyone always is going to leave him. He doesn't need to be alone.
Hudson and Teague work together as we all know if you have read the first two books in the series. Hudson was born a mute, so he can't speak. Therefore, leaving him speechless. For years, Teague refused to lean sign language. That was what helped him keep his distance from him. Teague has been fighting his attraction to Teague for quite some time, but there is only so much self control that Teague and Hudson can have. After all, the kiss on the cruise did happen, although Teague was too drunk to remember and he thinks it's a dream.
So, when Hudson offers Teague a proposal he can't refuse, let the fun begin... But what happens when feelings begin to develop? Emotions come into play. Will Teague continue to push Hudson away? Will Teague welcome Hudson into his life? What happens if one of the two want more? Could a relationship between the two occur?
So many times, Hudson had things to say to Teague, but was left speechless by Teague's actions. Seeing the struggles that both Teague and Hudson had to overcome to become the men they are today was amazing. Nicole always has a way to bringing serious subject matters into her book and shedding light on the subject. For her readers to see what people go through everyday. I commend her for it.
