BLOG TOUR ~ A Thousand Boy Kisses

Synopsis:
One kiss lasts a moment.
But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime.

One boy.
One girl.
A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade.
A bond that neither time nor distance can break.
A bond that will last forever.
Or so they believe.
When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation?
Rune’s heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.

Standalone Young Adult Tearjerker Romance.
For ages 14 and up.

REVIEW by JoJo:

5 stars!!!

A Standalone Young Adult Tearjerker Romance....I think it should be called A book to make you roll around on the broken pieces of your heart because it will be that destroyed after reading this book and you'll never be able to put it back together...but I guess Tearjerker Romance is quicker to say.

I just feel like the description did not fully prepare me for how fragile my heart would be after finish. I started crying at 5% and I actually don't think the tears stopped at any particular point. There were a few times I had to get up and go and compose myself.

It's been 24 hours since I started this book and I'm still not ready to process what I read. Can you imagine, I was at work today giving a training session and tears started leaking from my already puffy eyes and then someone of course has to go "Are you ok?" which just made it worse. I'm not okay. I read a book that destroyed my soul.

Who do I love more, Poppy or Rune. I can't even decide. Their story was so beautifully told that you knew you were falling in love with them both from the beginning. Two characters entirely different but with such beautiful hearts that compliment each other fully, you can't help but envy what they have.

The highs and the lows and the even higher highs and deeper lows. You feel them all as if you are living in their bodies and feeling exactly what they are feeling. This story is so perfect for them. It completely does their tale justice. Even the other relationships with other characters. I could relate to the strength and the angst at all times.

The ending sucks for a couple reasons. Good reasons and bad. I'll let you read it and find out for yourself why I think that.

Definitely recommend this book for all those who love a good cry, a perfectly imperfect love story and wonderfully written tale of young love.

Excuse me while I run off to go cry in my pillow some more...
