Blog Tour ~ FOREVER WITH ME by KRISTEN PROBY (With Me In Seattle Series)

FOREVER WITH ME
Synopsis:

From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the With Me in Seattle Series comes the end of a saga…

Dominic Salvatore seemingly has everything a man could want. He’s found a new relationship with his father and the entire Montgomery family. His vineyard, Coppa di Vita, is a success. There’s only one thing that eludes him: a certain driven, intelligent, and sexy as hell blonde named Alecia.

Alecia works tirelessly building her event planning business. It’s the most important part of her life. Despite the beautiful, lavish weddings she organizes, Alecia is convinced that the idea of true love is a myth. While Dominic is a sexy, intriguing man, welcoming the handsome Italian into her bed, and her life, is a risk she’s not so sure she’s willing to take.

However Dominic isn’t used to taking no for an answer, and it’s not long before these two are burning up the sheets and discovering a connection that neither can deny. But will it be strong enough to last forever?

“I’m going to eventually make you understand how amazing you are, tesoro.” – Dominic Salvatore

Review:

Where do I begin.  I have been on this journey with Kristen for almost two years now.  I one-clicked "Come Away With Me" and "Under the Mistletoe With Me" on New Years Eve 2012 after a friend recommended them to me.  After reading those two, I was hooked.  Kristen made me fall in love with this group of characters and make me feel like I was in fact, part of the family.  Once I finished "Under the Mistletoe With Me", I had to wait patiently for the release of Fight With Me.

With each book, Kristen opens our hearts up to a different member of the family, whether it is a member of the Montgomery family, a member of the Williams family, or characters that we have met along the way, being relatives of family members.   I love how intertwined this group is.  We have met so many characters in this series, and they all have a spot in my heart, especially WILL & MEG.  There was just something about their story that made them my favorite.

When I first found out about Dominic, I was stunned.  I didn't think Kristen would have my jaw on the floor and leave me speechless.  The Montgomery family welcomed Dominic, their step-brother into their lives with open arms.  We would get sneak peaks at Dominic in the book, but after reading "Forever With Me", I realized that Kristen was holding out on us.

Dominic is a sexy Italian who has his eyes set on Alecia.   Alecia however, doesn't have time in her life for a man, and refuses to believe in love.  Alecia doesn't believe in happily ever afters, she only plans them for others.

Dominic knows what he wants, and he eyes his eyes set on Alecia.  He is not taking no for an answer.  So when he begins to chip away at the wall that surrounds Alecia's heart, she does what she does best... she runs.  Little did she know, Dominic would chase after her.
"If you get scared, or nervous, or have doubts, you run to me, not from me, do you understand?" ~ Dominic
As Dominic shows Alecia that love is real and that he wants her as his forever, as I reader I felt the love between the two.  After discovering why Alecia didn't believe in love, I felt compassion for her.  She deserved to be loved, she did indeed deserve a happily ever after, and I wanted Dominic to give it to her.
"I'm so afraid that you'll hurt me."  I whisper against his chest.  "I know it sounds stupid, but I can't help it." ~ Alecia
"Love doesn't hurt you, tesoro.  people who don't know how to love hurt you.  you have so much love to give, and trust me when I say, I'm never going to stop loving you.  I'd never walk away from you and you can damn well know that I'm going to fight for you.  Remember what I told you that night in your condo.  it's you and me." ~ Dominic

"Forever With Me" is a book that will touch your heart, and have you falling in love with this sexy Italian.  The way he speaks to Alecia in English, let a lone Italian will have your panties on fire.

I know that all good things must come to an end, but I am VERY sad to see this series end, as it is one of my favorites.   Kristen has found a way to have this group of characters embed themselves into out hearts.  I find comfort in knowing that all I have to do is pick up my kindle anytime I miss them, knowing that I can fall in love with them all over again, when I re-read the series.

As most of you know, Will and Meg are my favorites and I was beyond thrilled to get more of their story in this final book.  Will and Meg's vows left me speechless and tears running down my face.  Those were one of the best vows I have ever heard or read.  High five Kristen, you left no stone un-turned and gave us all a glimpse into the lives of each and every one of our favorite family members.  The Epilogue was AMAZING and I could not have asked for a better way to end this series.

I will end it with one of my favorite quotes from the book.
"I don't want to just spend my life with you.  I want to spend my only life with you .  Every day. " ~ Dominic

KRISTEN YOU ARE A GENIUS AND I THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THE WITH ME IN SEATTLE SERIES.

And don’t forget the rest of the With Me in Seattle Series…

I adore Succulent Sweets. I wish it really existed because I'd be in there every day. No wonder it's Samantha's favorite cupcake shop! Nic takes such pride in her little shop. It's trendy, but classic, and when you walk in, you've never smelled anything so wonderful. It's also no wonder that she and Matt had so much fun in this delicious place.

EXCERPT:

At nine a.m., Tess unlocks the door and immediately a small crowd of guests pours in to order a treat and coffee.

When the crowd finally dies down at about, I have a moment to slip in the back and quickly eat a banana and string cheese before consolidating the cupcakes in the glass case and tidying up the seating area.

The bell over the door rings behind me as I’m tucking chairs under a table.

“It smells amazing in here.”

I’d know that voice anywhere.

It was in my head all night long.

I turn to find Matt and a slightly shorter, dark-haired man I’ve never seen before standing just inside the door. Matt has his hands in the pockets of his jeans and is smiling at me. The man with him has already crossed to the case, practically drooling over the cakes inside.

“Hi,” I murmur, smoothing my hands down my apron.

“How’s business today?” Matt asks as I walk behind the case, putting a good three feet between us.

“It’s been busy. It just started to slow down.”

“Montgomery has lost his manners,” Matt’s friend informs me with a smile. “I’m his partner, Asher.”

“Hi, I’m Nic Dalton.”

“I’ve driven by this place a hundred times and have always meant to come in.” Asher grins as he peruses the case. “What do you recommend?”

“The chocolate,” I reply, my gaze still stuck on Matt.

He’s remained quiet, hanging back, watching my every move.

It’s unnerving and yet comforting in a way I can’t explain.

He’s in a dark blue button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled, and it suddenly occurs to me that he’s wearing a holster at his waist with a handgun and a badge clipped to it.

Glancing at Asher, I see he’s wearing the same.

I raise an eyebrow at Matt. “I don’t sell doughnuts here.”

His lips twitch. I had no idea he’s a cop!

“Maybe we need a change of pace,” Matt replies. “Besides, I told you I’d be in today.”

I nod and smile at Asher. “You sick of doughnuts, too?”

“I never get sick of doughnuts. But I’ll take that chocolate cupcake right there.”

I place his treat on a plate and hand it to him. He peels the paper off and takes a bite, his eyes rolling back in his head.

“Marry me,” he announces and stuffs the rest in his mouth. “Marry me right now. We’ll go to Vegas.”

I laugh and shake my head. “What can I get you, Matt?”

“Dinner tomorrow night,” he replies smoothly.

“Dude, you’re good,” Asher compliments him. “But she’s marrying me.”

“Who’s marrying who?” Tess asks as she returns from the kitchen then stops in her tracks. Her eyes widen as she takes in the two very attractive—okay, gorgeous—men chatting with me.

“Nic is going to marry me,” Asher announces with a wink.

“Or, I can just keep baking cupcakes and you’re welcome to stop in from time to time. That way, there are no messy contracts or things like commitment,” I suggest with a laugh.

“Yes, that’ll work,” Asher agrees.

“Tess, could you please box up a couple of the chocolate for Asher to go?” I ask her and then turn to Matt. “What would you like?”

“I told you. Dinner tomorrow night.”

My heart skips a beat then shifts into overdrive.

“I meant…”

“I know what you meant. I’ll take a dozen of the special and dinner tomorrow night.”

“Yes, she’ll go,” Tess answers for me.

“You, I can fire, you know.”

She waves me off like I just announced that she has something in her teeth.

Matt laughs as he accepts the cupcakes from me. “Can I talk to you somewhere more private?”

The shop is still empty, so I nod and lead him back into the kitchen.

“You didn’t have to buy a whole dozen just to ask me to dinner,” I inform him softly.

“I bought them for the guys at the precinct.” He shrugs and grins at me. Is this really the same man who had me tied up in knots—literally and figuratively—not long ago?

“So, you’re a cop.”

“I am.” He nods.

“So, if I need to file a stalking complaint, you’re the person to call?”

Matt takes a step to me and drags his index finger down my cheek to my jawline. “There’s a number you can call for that, but I hope I’m not the one you’re thinking of turning in.”

I smirk and watch him, waiting for him to dictate to me what we’ll do next or where we’ll go to dinner, but he just waits for me, watching me just as I am him.

“I’ll go to dinner with you tomorrow,” I finally murmur. My stomach clenches and nipples tighten when he offers me that megawatt smile and leans in to plant his lips on my forehead.

“Excellent. What time will you be finished here?”

“Four in the afternoon.”

“Pick you up at six?”

He’s asking, not telling!

“Sure.”

He cups my face in his hands and sighs as he looks in my eyes. “We will need to talk, little one.”

“That is usually a part of going to dinner with someone,” I reply with an innocent smile.

He laughs and plants a chaste kiss on my lips then turns to leave. “See you tomorrow.” He winks, and then he’s gone.

  1. SO many choices for my favorite Kristen Proby hero. Josh King from "Love Under the Big Sky" is on the top of my list. But Luke Williams is also timeless!! And of course, Will Montgomery is another… Too hard to choose between those three!
