Every Little Thing (Hart's Boardwalk)

The New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series returns to Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you needed....

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime….

REVIEW:

I am in love with this series. Samantha Young will take you on a journey of heartbreak, mending and love all wrapped up in one.

I knew their was chemistry between Bailey and Vaughn from reading The One Real Thing. When the two of them were in the same vicinity, sparks flew. The hot and sexy meter went off the charts.

Vaughn has a past, as does Bailey. Bailey has been with her tool of a boyfriend for ten years. TEN LONG YEARS. Bailey is a handful, one that is never short for words. She is feisty, she is strong, she never bites her tongue. Not even with Vaughn.

Vaughn keeps Bailey at a distance. But just because she is at arms length, doesn't mean he doesn't have eyes on her. Bailey makes Vaughn feel things he shouldn't. Things he's ever felt before. So when things heat up between Bailey and Vaughn, now that bailey is single, what will Vaughn do? Will he continue to push Bailey just enough to keep her at bay, or will he hold her tight once he has her in his arms?

Bailey has had her heart broke before, but when things fall apart with her and her boyfriend of ten years, Bailey isn't devastated. In fact, she's relieved. As much as Bailey tries to stay away from Vaughn, cause all they do is fight, she can't stay away. There's just something about him, that keeps her coming back. She is intrigued by him. She wants to know more about him. She wants to know why he is nice to everyone else, but mean to her. But he is truly mean to her? I'd have to say NO. I think they both have built up frustration that finally hits a head.

This is a great read. You will love both Vaughn and Bailey.
