MY REVIEW:
Rules of Entanglement (ROE) is the 2nd book in the Fighting for Love Series, with Seducing Cinderella, being book #1. In Seducing Cinderella we are introduced to Vanessa MacGregor, a smart mouthed, energetic, very structured woman, who is Lucie's best friend. Vanessa created her "Lucky 7" Rules to Live By. The questions is, WHY DID VANESSA REALLY CREATE THESE RULES???
I have to say that I was captivated with ROE from Chapter 1. I found Jax so appealing, that I just wanted to know more about him. Jax has never met a woman like Vanessa. Jax is used to women falling on his every word, women aiming to please him, but that all changed the moment he met Vanessa.
Vanessa is never short on words and will not allow anyone to call the shots, including a hot MMA fighter named Jax Maris, even if it is her best friend, Lucie's brother. Vanessa has built wall around her heart and she refuses to allow a man to hurt her. Will Vanessa open her heart to Jax? Will Jax be able to break down those walls?
As Jax and Vanessa spent time together, I loved the bantering between the two. I found it absolutely hysterical and was laughing out loud while reading the book. Vanessa was definitely a challenge to Jax and she was not going to make anything easy. I felt the connection immediately between Jax and Vanessa, it was as though I knew them personally.
Jax is absolutely YUMMY. I thought Reid (Jax's best friend and Lucie's fiance) was a total sweetheart, but Jax definitely gave Reid a run for his money. Jax may be a tatted up MMA fighter, but he is a total teddy bear and knows all the right things to say to charm the panties off of a lady.
Rules of Entanglement will have you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what is going to happen next. I could not put the book down, I pulled an all nighter because the suspense was killing me and I had to know what was going to happen next.
Throughout the entire book, I was standing on the sidelines routing for Jax. I wanted Vanessa to find love and have true happiness. BUT, you will have to read the book to know what happens because I will not give any spoilers away.... But I will tell ya one thing, RULES OF ENTANGLEMENT is a MUST READ !!!!!
I look forward to reading more books in this series, and I hope we get more of Reid, Lucie,
Jax and Vanessa.
