Description:
Grayson Coleman has just moved home to Butler, Vermont after spending years working for a high-powered law firm in Boston. He’s looking for a simpler, less stressful existence in the sleepy little mountain town where he grew up with his siblings and Abbott cousins. Once the holidays are over, he plans to hang out a shingle and open a new general law practice. After helping to raise his seven younger siblings, the last thing on Grayson’s mind is a family of his own.

Emma Mulvaney is enjoying a break from her reality as a busy single mother in New York City while she and her adorable daughter, Simone, spend the holidays in Vermont with Emma's sister, Lucy, and Lucy’s future in-laws, the Abbotts. After meeting Abbott cousin Grayson Coleman and talking to him for hours, Emma is nervous and excited to have dinner alone with him after sharing her deepest, most personal secrets with him.

Will that first night be the start of something new for the jaded lawyer and the selfless single mom or will a holiday week flirtation turn into something much bigger than either of them ever expected?

Come back to Butler, Vermont for more of the charming Abbott family, their matchmaking father and grandfather and of course, Fred the Moose.

Review:

This book is like her other books. Once you pick up the book the storyline will just suck you right in and you won't want to put the book down.  Although this was said to be a continuation of the Green Mountain Series, I did not read them. This is the first of this series that I have read. The only trouble I had was trying to figure out who was with whom. Once I figured that out, I was able to follow along with the story.  I have to be honest, it took me the first couple of chapters since there are a lot of family members. But then I got the hang of it and was able to move on.

Greyson.... Sigh... He’s all business and no play but if you look back he is a very successful person. not only that, he is a family man true and true. After having to help raise his siblings from a young age and to care for his mother, the last thing he wants is a family of his own to care for. He has never wanted or thought of being in a committed relationship until Emma

Greyson meeting Emma was a love at first sight event. You can absolutely tell from the get go that they are made for one another. Marie Force does a great job creating that. Her daughter Simone does have a hand in that. Her joking and bubbly personality softened Greyson up. It's hard not to love Simone. She is one smart young girl who adores her mother and will do anything for her. The love that she has for Emma is eminent. It hasn’t been an easy road for Emma, with being a single mother and all, but with the help of her family and close knit friends she has made a life for herself.

Emma and Greyson have no desire of being in a relationship, never have. Until the moment they met. Their relationship comes naturally to one another. Revealing things from their pasts, they haven’t shared with anyone. They are so in tune with one another. Though Emma is hesitant to pursue anything due to the distance of their lives. Emma has her own life in New York and Greyson is just starting his new one in Vermont. The sparks are undeniable and once they give in to it, they realize they're better together than apart.

You will fall for Greyson almost instantly. He is such a sweetheart. We hear about all the sacrifices he has made for his family, putting his needs on hold. But when Emma comes into his life, he puts her and Simone’s needs before himself. And the way he is with Simone…. He’s a natural with her.

When their time comes to a close, will what they started end? Or will they continue? Are their sparks and feelings for one another worth taking a risk? How will they continue their relationship living hours from one another? Sacrifices will have to be made, but who will cave?

Not only will you fall in love with Greyson, Emma and Simone, you will love their families too. They are such a close group who will bend over backwards for one another. And you will get a kick out of the matchmakers in the family… This book has made me want to read the others prior.
