When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.

EXCERPT

“Sorry, I wasn’t looking where—”

I froze.

The sight of Chase standing there was almost enough to knock me over. I’d secretly hoped to see him, yet never thought I actually would. What are the chances? I did a double take, sure I was seeing things. But it was him all right, in the flesh. And what flesh it is. Standing there shirtless and wet—wearing nothing but a pair of low-slung swim trunks—he had me stuttering. Literally.

“Ch…Ch…Ch—” I couldn’t get the word out.

Of course, Chase didn’t miss a beat. He smirked and leaned in. “You do a cute train impression, Buttercup.”

He remembers me.

I shook my head, attempting to snap myself out of it. But it was no use. He was so tall, and I was so short, I had no choice but to stare at his body. Water trickled down his abs. I was mesmerized watching it speed up and slow down as it crossed the rippled lines of his six-pack. Damn.

I cleared my throat and finally spoke. “Chase.”

I was pretty freaking proud of myself for getting that much out. He had a towel slung around his neck and lifted it to dry off his dripping hair, revealing even more flesh. His pectoral muscles were carved and perfect. And—oh, my God…is that… Holy shit. It is. His nipples were cold and erect, and one of them was….was…pierced.

REVIEW

I think this by far has got to be one of my favorite books of the year. Vi Keeland’s writing just gets better with every book that she write. Boss Man is a great read that is fun, sexy, swoon-worthy book that is filled with just enough angst.

Reese and Chase did not have the most conventional meeting. Heck, they met in the hallway of a bathroom, exchanged a few unpleasantries and Chase Parker crashed her date. His made up stories of their made up past made the new date much more interesting. That became the start of their relationship. One that Reese thought would be non-existent after this run in.

Little did Reese know that she was going to be working very closely with Chase…..He was the owner and CEO of the new company that she will be working for and he has made it know from the very beginning that he wants her and there is nothing she can do to stop it. Reese can deny it all she wants but it will be a matter of time before she gives in to him. There is no doubt physical chemistry between the two. You can just feel it sizzling off them. Chase knows what he wants and will not stop until he gets it. Clearly. And he’s not at all subtle about wanting her. In every which way. But Reese is really adamant about not mixing business with pleasure. She made that mistake once and that put her in a rough spot and she never wants to do that again. Or ever.

I love the banter that goes on between the two of them. It’s like one big cat and mouse game. Seeing Chase tease her and Reese try really hard to fight him off. You can clearly tell she wants him, bad. But she is trying so hard to fight him. He’s so cocky but so sure about himself. How can you not fall hard for Chase? He's one strong man, who is hot as sin, but has a heart that is as big as can be. Reese, she’s so strong and independent. There were so many times where I just wished I could hug her myself. As you read through it though, you can see why they are who they are. They help each other fix the broken pieces in each other.

I absolutely loved this book. Best book by far this year. Go get your copy now. Let Boss Man hook, line and sinker you!

Bossman is a complete page-turner. I devoured it in one sitting ~ unable to put it down.

Chase is witty, charming and scorching hot. Reese is a refreshing heroine. She holds her own with the Bossman, managing to give as good as she gets. I loved the characters in this story. All of them were spot on ~ adding to the storyline. Bossman is heartfelt and surprising, unfolding bit by bit in a way that kept me continually invested in this couple’s happily ever after.

Highly recommend ~ 5 stars ~ Would love more from this world and these secondary characters.
