As always Nicole Edwards delivered another AMAZING book. I was able to read the book in one sitting.  Isaiah is given one job. Find Cassidy and make sure she is safe.  Once he locates her, he is immediately attracted to her. The picture he was given didn't do her any justice. Cassidy was beautiful. Isaiah had woman falling at his feet every night being the manager of Devil's Playground in Las Vegas.  But there was something different about this woman. 
He never thought that he would be one that would want something with a woman. He was happy with a roll in the sack, and send them on their way. So what was it about Cassidy that made him want more?

The moment Cassidy laid eyes on Isaiah, she was attracted to him. So when he pursues her, she isn't quite sure if he there to protect her or cause her harm. After some convincing, when she realizes that he may be one of the good guys, she begins to trust him. When he vows to keep her safe and protect her from the men who are looking for her and her brother, she sees this as an opportunity. 

Isaiah and Cassidy have an instant connection. When Cassidy is in danger, Isaiah feels something he has never felt. He need to protect was is his. Once Cassidy is out of harms way, will their romance continue? Will either of them want something more?  

This was a quick read. I am hoping that Isaiah's brother Micah will get the next book. Once you start Without Regret, you will not be able to put it down.

I hang my head down in shame that this beauty was on my kindle for quite sometime and I hadn't found the time to read it. When I finally had an opening in my schedule, I sat down to experience what everyone was talking about. It is hard to put into words what this story did to me. It broke my heart to see Miles struggling day to day with his past. A past that he isn't willing to share. Miles never wanted to love anyone again. He never wanted to get close to someone again, not after what he went through. His heart couldn't handle it. 

So when Miles' friend's little sister, Tate moves in across the hall, he notices her immediately. Miles tried his damnedest to stay away from her, yet at the same time, he needed to be close to her. She awoken something in him that he hasn't felt in years. Something that he didn't want to feel. Feeling caused him pain. When he was numb, he didn't hurt.

Tate stumbled upon Miles one night.... literally stumbled upon him. She was immediately attracted to him. How couldn't she, she wasn't blind. The chemistry between Miles and Tate was evident. Tate was attracted to Miles. Miles was attracted to Tate, even though he didn't want to be. When the two of them come to a mutual agreement, they never imaged the outcome.

"It's not that I don't like you, Tate" He sighs heavily and runs his hands through his hair, gripping the back of his neck. "I just don't want to like you. I don't want to like anyone. I don't want to date anyone. I don't want to love anyone. I just... " He folds his arms back across his chest and looks down at the floor.

"You just what?" I ask urging him to finish that sentence. His eyes slowly lift back to mine, and it makes all I have to stay seated on this counter with the way he's looking at me right now - like I'm Thanksgiving dinner.

"I'm attracted to you, Tate," he says his voice low. "I want you, but I want you without any of the other stuff."

So let's get this straight.  Miles wants to have no strings attached sex with Tate. How is he any different from than any other man? Most men want that, but most men do not come with Mile's past. Is Tate capable of no strings attached sex? Can she simply have sex with him and not allow her emotions or feelings get involved? Will Miles be able to let go of his past in order to move on with this future? Will their agreement shatter them both? 

"You don't want to be attracted to me, but you are. You want to have sex with me, but you don't want to date me. You also don't want to love me. You also don't want me to want to love you."

"Love isn't always pretty, Tate. sometimes you spend all your time hoping it'll eventually be something different. somethings better. Then, before you know it, you're back to square one, and you lost your heart somewhere along the way." ~ Miles

Was that what Tate was doing? Hoping that what she had with Miles, would become something more? That things with Miles could be different? Would Miles be able to let Tate in? Is what Tate and Miles have even qualify as a relationship? What happens when one of them decide that they can do the "no strings attached" hook up? Will they change their ways or will they go their separate ways?

Sometimes love isn't always pretty, sometimes love is ugly. It can hurt you, crush you. Make you wish that you never fell in love in the first place. Miles definitely was crushed by love, making him never want to feel it again. But sometimes you need to face your past in order to move on with your future. You can't carry the burden or the guilt any longer. When you do, it consumes you. 

Ugly Love is an AMAZING book, one that I will read over and over. Anything that Colleen Hoover writes is a book that will touch you in ways that you never imagined. She doesn't simply just write a book. No, she tells a story that will make you stop and think. Her books work their way into our hearts and never leave. They are stories that will stay with us for quire some time. I tip my hat off to you, Colleen. You delivered another fabulous 5 star book.

In Opening Up we meet Penelope Jean "PJ" Colman and Asa Barrons.  She is what I wish every heroine would be.  She is smart, sassy, independent, beautiful inside and out, vulnerable and strong.   She would be my best friend if I met her.  Asa is a bad ass ex-military biker bare knuckle fighting badass with the biggest heart I've seen in a man.  He is the perfect mix of asshole, confident, mamma's boy, big teddy bear guy.

PJ works for her families business, more specifically tire sales.  She is and always was the black sheep of the family according to her father and she has strived to show him everything she can be and do, she has done it her whole life and no matter what she does she is never good enough.  She works with her sister, 2 brothers father and uncle building the business her grandfather started.  She is very creative and found she was excellent with custom painting and she loved doing it.  She starts doing the custom painting on her time with her own money but under Colman Enterprises to show her father what she could bring to the business.

This is how she starts seeing Asa regularly as he is the owner of Twisted Steel a auto shop he and his best friend Duke opened and built successfully.  They meet and sparks fly and when I say sparks fly there is no term that could get you ready for the chemistry that they have and build off of.

The problem is Asa is 37 and PJ is 25, he thinks she is just too young and innocent for him and he is too old, experienced and jaded for her.  See PJ is smart and has the confidence in herself everyone should have.  She didn't sulk she didn't flaunt herself she was herself and she did what she had to do to get him in her bed.  She was the epitomy of what every woman should be in getting what she wants from anything and everyone.  Asa was smart enough to realize this woman was everything he could ask for and finally decided after a long time coming that he wanted her.  She proved to him with friendship who and what she was and that she was not a naïve 25 year old.

PJ's father is someone to loathe, he is such a horrible person and father.  Her brothers and sister are great and stand by her as time goes by but it was time for her to branch out on her own and build her own business.  She does this with no ones help.  She does this with class, she does so well she is making profits immediately and able to live her life as she was prior.

I love how Asa defends her, loves her and treats her.  Even when they weren't together and he was being stubborn he cared and you knew it.  I love his relationship with his inner circle.  I love how she lets him defend and love her.  I love how she is strong enough to know when she needs a shoulder to cry on and a man to defend her.

I cannot say enough about this book, it was a 10 star read for me.  It had a kick ass herione a perfect mix of love, heat and angst.  I love this group of people and can't wait to read more.  I was a Lauren Dane virgin and am so glad I got to read this book, she will be an auto one click for me in the future.

In Racing the Sun we meet a young, naive Amber MacLean.  She is traveling Europe trying to find herself and her purpose in life.  She gets a point where she has lost all of her money and mom and dad are tapped out.  She gets to a little town and decides her only option is to look for a job.  When getting to a Hostel she realizes the desk clerk is American and she asks her how did she come about getting her job.  The girl explained that down the road there was a coffee shop and you could find odds an ends jobs.  She finds one to teach young children English, she inquires and the next morning she has a response to meet a woman at the dock.

Little does she know what she is getting into, the children lost their parents.  Their older recluse brother is their guardian and he locks himself up in the families office all day and night, he gets drunk and has night terrors.  As time goes on they start to form a friendship and after a little while Derio does not hide his attraction to Amber.  

The nanny one day up and quits and Amber's role is changed drastically, while she didn't sign on for this she agrees to be the interim nanny until he finds a permanent replacement.  In the meantime she falls in love with the children and without lying to herself with Derio.  Who has fallen madly in love with her.

But what happens when you realize you have given all you can and it is still not enough.  What happens when you are exhausted, over worked, under appreciated and lonely.  What happens when your fairytale soon changes to a nightmare.  What happens when sometimes love just is not enough.

You will have to read to find out but I promise the journey of this novel is inspiring, its about learning your place in this world and when sometimes you think you have lost it all that maybe you haven't lost anything but learned a lot.

Racing in the Sun was a great book, one that I would re-read and a solid 4.5 stars.
