There’s a fine line between I hate you and I want you.
Once you cross it, there’s no going back.

Blaze Townsend: I hate you.
Charisma Rossi: I hate you more.

She’s been expecting this ever since their latest showdown. She had good reason.

Hottest guy she’s ever seen.
Former fling.
Dumped her in front of all her friends.
At her own party.

So no, she’s not about to forgive and forget just because he sits next to her in class. He thinks all he has to do is turn on those baby blues, and she’ll melt right back into his arms. Please.She’d be crazy to let this cocky player affect her again. (Tell that to her body.)

REVIEW by Kelly:

“My hands are tied, My body bruised, she’s got me with, nothing to win and nothing to lose. And you give yourself away...with or without you...I can’t live, with or without you.”
With or Without You by U2

Ilsa captures us again with this spirited enemies to lovers and second chance romance. It’s filled with witty responses, plenty of snark and enough tension to melt your socks off.

I love you. I hate you.

He’s a football player, the hottest guy on campus and he was hers...sort of...until he dumped her at her own party. She’s feisty, she’s scorned, she wants revenge,
and she still wants him.

“...I give him my own Miss America wave - only it’s really a one-finger salute.”

He’s hot and he’s cold. It goes back and forth, over and over again. He wants her but he has his own battles to deal with. Under the swagger, the chiseled muscles and the sexy edge, he’s damaged, hurting and he doesn’t think he can have both. He’s been the only one he can ever count on.

“You is all you have.”

She tries to stay strong. He’s hurt her once before but she wants him, all of him. He tries to push her away, to not let her in, but he wants her, all of her. It could be the most important game of their lives. She is the fire in his hands and he knows that she sees him, always.

“Because once you know a girl sees you for the man you are, once you know she’s never leaving, she wants you forever, and she’ll take a chance on you, it’s easy to let the words out.”

“She knows my heart. Her name is written there.”

Another fantastic romance from Mills. You want this book! This is a definite one-click that will leave you with a smile on your face and happiness in your heart

Just Breathe Again by C.A. Harms

SYNOPSIS:

I had it all. Truly, I had the perfect life. One filled with happiness and love where the bright smiles of my gorgeous wife and my beautiful daughter greeted me every day. I was a lucky man…

Until I lost it all.

Sometimes, when I close my eyes, I can still see them. My two angels still shining with their never-ending beauty. But those visions always lead me to darkness…

The moment when I find myself alone again. The pain is real and the emptiness inside me only grows with each passing day.

Time will heal me, they say. But they’ve never lived through the loss I have. They’ve never felt the excruciating pain of what it means to have your heart shattered into a million pieces.

They don’t know the guilt I carry.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother waking up every morning. But if I let go, I let go of them. And their memory is all I have left.

I know I need to move on. I know it’s time to Just Breathe Again…

The problem is I don’t know where to start.

REVIEW by Kelly:

“I wanted to be able to breathe without feeling guilty that I still could.”

Harms never fails to emotionally connect us to her stories. Her words are crafted carefully, woven intricately and pack a punch. Just Breathe Again is no different. It wrings is out emotionally then builds us up again-just where we want to be.

This was an emotional roller coaster. Aaron was happy, blissful and content in life. It took only seconds for that to be ripped away. His pain was immeasurable. He had fallen so far that there didn’t seem to be an end. He tried, many times he tried, but it was never enough. The hurt was always there.

“...every time I allowed myself to feel even an ounce of serenity, it was quickly followed with that empty, hollow feeling inside. The ache so deep, so penetrating, it left me feeling as if everything was flipped upside down.”

Faith was the epitome of her name. Joyful, happy, and always looking for the good. She saw through Aaron immediately and the armor he wore on the outside. The beauty was that it wasn’t just the exterior although that was there. It’s almost as if souls connected when the met. She could be his salvation, his light, if only he would let her.

“I had no idea what it was that he was fighting. All I knew was that, if the look in his eyes in that very moment was any indication, it had to be something deep and something still very raw.”

All it took was her walking down the steps toward him. Something changed in the instant he really got a good look at her. His world shifted but he was going to fight it every step of the way. But with each step, his life changed. It hurt but each step took him closer to healing. She was his reason. Mistakes and missteps along the way but each wobbling step looked towards a brighter future and a path of happiness.

“You’re the light, the peace, and the healing power I needed but reused to accept.”

This is an emotionally grueling yet beautifully perfect story on loss, healing and second chances in life. It was a difficult journey, heartbreaking and filled with angst. You can make it through, you just need to breathe.

“Falling in love with you wasn’t the problem. It never was.”

Sometimes, the greatest love stories flourish in tragedy.

REVIEW by Heather D:

Where do I begin?  Throughout this book, I myself, was left broken while witnessing the hurt, Luna experienced with Knight.

Knight and Luna have had a special bond since they were toddlers. Luna was a select mute. After experiencing a tragic event in her life, she chose not to speak. However, Knight always knew what Luna wanted, what she needed, and what she was feeling, without a work ever being spoken.

While Knight had a reputation of a lady’s man to upkeep, that façade took a piece of Luna’s heart each time she witnessed it.  With college acceptance pending on the horizon, Knights fears she will go away, leave the comfort of her home, the comfort of their friendship. While Luna was on the fence on deciding where to go, a little push from a mutual close friend, changes the course of her relationship with Knight.

While both Luna and Knight struggle being apart from each other, they both continue to live their lives the best they can. Cherishing the moments they speak, the moments they see each other. But everything changes when Luna makes a choice that will affect her life and Knight’s as well.

Luna and Knight’s relationship is captivating. When push comes to shove, will they make their way back to each other, or will decisions they’ve made, keep them apart?
Broken Knight is by far a breathtaking, heartbreakingly, beautiful story about best friends who love each other, yet fear loving each other will ruin them.

Buckle your seat belts, because Broken Knight will take you on an emotional ride, leaving you raw, and wanting more.

BLOG TOUR - Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker

Description:

The bestselling author of The Simple Wild and Keep Her Safe and “master of steamy romance” (Kirkus Reviews) delivers a sizzling novel about an ambitious and high-powered executive who reconnects with her first love: the boy who broke her heart.

Life is a mixed bag for Piper Calloway.

On the one hand, she’s a twenty-nine-year-old VP at her dad’s multibillion-dollar real estate development firm, and living the high single life with her two best friends in a swanky downtown penthouse. On the other hand, she’s considered a pair of sexy legs in a male-dominated world and constantly has to prove her worth. Plus she’s stuck seeing her narcissistic ex-fiancé—a fellow VP—on the other side of her glass office wall every day.

Things get exponentially more complicated for Piper when she runs into Kyle Miller — the handsome new security guard at Calloway Group, and coincidentally the first love of her life.

The guy she hasn’t seen or heard from since they were summer camp counselors together. The guy from the wrong side of the tracks. The guy who apparently doesn’t even remember her name.

Piper may be a high-powered businesswoman now, but she soon realizes that her schoolgirl crush is still alive and strong, and crippling her concentration. What’s more, despite Kyle’s distant attitude, she’s convinced their reunion isn’t at all coincidental, and that his feelings for her still run deep. And she’s determined to make him admit to them, no matter the consequences.

Review by Heather:

K.A. Tucker never disappoints. She is an automatic one-click for me.  I loved how the author laid out this story with chapters from their past, and then chapters with the present, rather than flashbacks throughout the book.

Piper Calloway comes from money, but not all the people she met while spending a summer as a camp counselor did.  It only took one glimpse of Kyle and she knew she was a goner.  Kyle is not the "type" of guy she is supposed to be with.  They are from different lifestyles, different statures in society, or say that is her father's opinion, not Piper's.

Things between Piper and Kyle begin to develop and I loved the two of them together.  Kyle may have looked the part of a bad-boy, but he was anything but. The two of them loved spending time together and would sneak off as much as possible to be with each other. But when a tragic incident occurs, things change for the entire group at camp.

Her father didn't approve of her relationship with Kyle, and he made sure to do everything in his power to stop it, even if it meant lying to his daughter.

Years pass and Piper never truly got over her first love, so when she thinks she sees him in the lobby of her building, her heart begins to beat a little faster.  Does Kyle remember her?  Did their summer together mean as much to Kyle as it did to Piper?  Will their different lifestyles keep them apart again?  Does money really matter?  Can two different people who come from two differently 'types' of life make it work?  Are their too many obstacles standing in their way?  Will her father continue to meddle in Piper's life, and do whatever he can to keep Kyle from her?

When secrets are revealed, will Piper be able to forgive those that hurt her?  Be sure to one-click Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker.

Is there really such a thing as a quarter life crisis? You bet your ass there is. Review

I have been waiting a while for another book to release by R.L. Griffin. She nailed it with Midnights & Mimosas! That’s all I have to say about that. She has a way to capture your attention. This book can definitely be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend you read the other two books because it the story goes full circle. You will definitely laugh, a lot, become frustrated and get your heart toyed with, but you will love every moment of it.

I loved Laura’s character in the other two books, I was excited to finally hear her story. Everyone has a story, boy does she have one. She is Megan’s best friend and her biggest champion. She was laid off her job and decided to pay Megan a visit. That visit changed both of their lives. Laura and Megan went on the adventure of their lives. During this trip, she became Megan’s right hand man. She did everything for her, no questions asked. But I loved how she just took charge of everything as if it was no big deal. Along the way, she lost her way. Lost her dreams and lost her identity. She struggles to find her way again.

R.L. Griffin does a great job crushing you. She always does with her books. Finding out what happened in Laura’s past is like a slow burn, but I preferred it that way. I was glued to the book and only put it down when necessary. In Megan’s book, we got a lot of sunshine, but with Laura’s book, I feel like it was a bit more emotional. Not all sunshine and roses. My heart definitely went out for her. She is slowing beginning to spiral and lose her way. It is becoming harder for her to see the light. It was definitely Megan’s turn to be there for Laura. I was so used to it the other way around, it was nice seeing the roles reversed. They definitely were meant to be best friends. They can just give each other the look and have a full conversation without any physical talking.

I began to understand Laura a bit more. She has had to endure a lot in her life and gone through things I can’t even begin to imagine. But it definitely explains why she is so guarded, especially with relationships. Something so big has been eating at her, with no one to share it with. Laura is such a strong person. She masks her feelings so well, not wanting to put anyone else down. Everyones happiness always goes before hers. Only if I had half the strength she has. On the outside she seems to put together, but no one knows how broken she truly is.

When she first met Max, it wasn’t supposed to be anything serious. Then she realized Max is just as broken as her. They seemed to understand one another, but yet push each other away. I felt bad for Max at times. He laid everything out on the table, but Laura was not willing to give it back. She had her own demons to fight. Demons only she can overcome. Don't get it wrong, Max has his own to battle but he's willing to share it with her. There were so many moments where I was extremely frustrated with Laura. She has this amazing man in front of her and she’s letting him slip away. But then I understood why.

Can Laura fight her demons and find her happily ever after? Or will they forever haunt her? Will she be able to find her way again?

It was definitely good to see the other characters be a big part in this book. Love me some Meat and Justin. He needs a book now....
