Dear Bridget,

I’m writing this letter because it’s highly doubtful I’ll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.

So, here goes.

We’re totally wrong for each other. You’re the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I’m just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.

But here’s the thing… for some bloody reason, I can’t stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.

I want you.

The only reason I’m even admitting all of this to you right now is because I don’t believe it’s one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too. And as crass as I appear when we’re joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.

So, what’s the purpose of this note? I guess it’s a reminder that we’re adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, it’s to let you know that I’m leaving said door cracked open from now on in case you’d like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.

No questions asked.

Think about it.

Or don’t.

Whatever you choose.

It’s doubtful I’ll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.

Review: 

 I believe this is the best book that these two have written so far. I picked up the book and I was not able to put this book down. Not joking. I was on a business trip and I ended up taking my kindle with me everywhere just so I can sneak some reading in. It was not professional at all, but I was so engrossed in the story I needed to keep reading. This is definitely one that you won't want to miss out on. 

 Bridget and Simon met the first time under unusual circumstances. The attraction was there from the start but they thought they would never see each other again. As faith would have it, they're pretty much thrown in to be together. They both come from different worlds. They both want different things in life and they both have different goals for the future. 

Simon is a man who knows what he wants. Even when what he wants isn't ideal and it would end up being a bad idea. Bridget is cautious about everything that she does. She's pretty much a thinker. I can relate to that because I over think every single decision. Simon is a very persistent man though. As much as Bridget resists, Simon has a way of pulling her in. They both know this isn't the best idea ever, but in this case the attraction may actually win over. Simon can definitely pull me in any day. LOL

 Bridget is such a strong and independent person. She works very hard in everything that she does. She puts others before herself and has pretty much closed herself off in the opposite sex. Bridget has such a good head on her shoulders. Her strength and determination is what made me cheer her on. Simon...sigh... His looks and his accent will just make you turn in to goo. But that's not what made me fall for him. He is such a hard worker and so determined to help others. I was able to see a softer side to him. He was able to read Bridget even before she knew what she herself wanted. He was so in tuned with her and her thoughts. When it came to Bridget, she always came first. This was a first for him. 

 The chemistry between these two were off the charts. Even when nothing sexual is happening you can just sense it. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward did such a fantastic job writing this book, I was able to place myself into the book with the characters. I was able to see what they were doing and be able to feel their feelings. I went through many emotions while reading this book. I sure did laugh a lot, Simon will do that to you. But my heart did break at certain points in good ways and in bad. 

 Do yourself a favor. Go get this book now and fall in love with Bridget and Simon.

Dirty Little Secret by Kendall Ryan

First, let me start off with how much I LOVE this cover. This cover is what sold me on the book. I requested this book from Net Galley without even reading the description.  I saw a lot of talk and posts about Dirty Little Secret on Facebook, so I was definitely curious about the book. I have to say when I finished it, I had a few questions to ponder. One, what was the dirty little secret? Did I miss something?  


This story revolves around a woman named Emma that sort of falls in love with a man that she never speaks to for over a year. She purposely goes to the local coffee shop the same time every day just to get a glimpse of the gorgeous man. Then when she finally takes matters into her own hands, she meets him. In her head, she imagined him ONE way, but in reality, he was nothing that she imagined. But.....  let me say this. I have never read a book where I love a different character more than the main hero in the story. In Dirty Little Secretly, I adored the brother, Cooper. I was rooting for Cooper, more than I was pulling for Grant.  Cooper was sweet, loving, considerate, where Grant was harsh, crass and at times rude and ignorant. Don't get me wrong, Grant showed a sweet side once in a while. Usually, after it was pointed out to him what a dick he was being, or if he wanted something that benefits him.  For me, Grant didn't do it. I was disappointed in his actions more than I was impressed with him.


I thought this story read easily, fast to be more specific. But by the end, I wanted more. I want to see where the story leads. I will definitely be reading Book 2 in the series to see where this goes. Fingers crossed, Grant earns my love, because right now, Cooper has my heart.

I stake claim to SANCHEZ. I adored him. He warmed my heart and had me in tears with laughter.  I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. I assumed cheating would be involved with the cover photo, boy was I wrong.

I loved reading about a curvy girl that men found attractive. Girls can have curls and be sexy. Shocking, right?  We never read about women that are bigger than a size 2. I found it VERY refreshing.

Let us discuss Sanchez. Where do I even start? He will steal your heart and have you wanting him for yourself. Now keep in mind, sometimes things may start out a certain way, but love has a way of taking on a life of itself.

What happens when Emerson’s past collides with the present? Will it determine how the future will play out? Will Em’s past stop her from moving on?  Emerson always had a dream, and at some point, her best friend Miller was a part of those dreams. Miller left her, deserted her, broke her, shattered her heart into a million pieces. When Miller walks back into Emerson’s life, will she give him a second chance?  Will she put the breaks on her feelings for someone else, because he was once her safe zone? Or will Emerson through caution to the wind, run the Hail Mary, and pray that she picks the right guy, the guy that wiggled his way into her heart, unsuspectingly.

This was a 5 star read for me. I loved every word on every page. I laughed out loud, and I got the ending that I wanted....  Have I mentioned that I want Sanchez for myself. (lol)

“Take what?”
“This.” He slid his hand down my thigh. “The heat between us, the way it feels when we touch. Damn, just being near you drives me insane. And humans are only gifted with so much patience before they snap. I hope to God that I’m around when you do.”
“You think I’m going to go crazy for you, huh?” My voice sounded way too excited about the idea, and my heart decided to skip a few beats while my body cheered yes!
Sanchez shrugged. “I admire self-control, Curves. After all, this isn’t going to be a one-night stand, and I have a feeling that you’re going to make me work for it in bed. But don’t worry. I’ve been really focusing on my own self-control. I’ll take care of you long before you have a chance to take care of me. So yeah, do I think you’re going to go crazy? I’m counting on it. Betting on it. Praying for it.”
“Be honest. Is that why I’m staying with you?”
“Hell yes.” He laughed. “I’m not letting you lose your shit around Miller, proximity and all that. It’s going to be me, all me.”
“Selfish much?”
