REVIEW:

The title of this book "For the Love of Raindrops" is so fitting.  Once you read the story, you will understand.  I absolutely LOVE the cover as well.

Dylan and Evie have experienced life together since they were six years old.  The two of them have a rare bond, one that most can only wish for.  Dylan and Evie know everything about each other, there are no secrets between the two of them, except for ONE.  They are in love with each other, but they are both afraid to express their feelings for fear the other doesn't feel the same way.

Dylan has been in love with Evie since he was just a little boy.  It has always been Evie for Dylan.  For years he has been battling his feelings for her.  Both Dylan and Evie are battling demons of their own.  No matter what life throws at them, they always have the support of the other.  Their unconditional love for each other warmed by heart.

Evie and Dylan have both suffered tragedy in their families and this has only made their bond tighter.  Dylan and Evie have both experienced a tremendous amount of pain in their lives, but they never allowed it to destroy them.  As their bond grew, their feelings for each other grew as well.  Everyone around them can see the love that they share for each other. Sometimes it just takes the ones in love, just a little longer to voice their feelings.

Sometimes in life the person your heart belongs to, has been by your side the entire time. What will the two of them do?  Will they risk their friendship for love?  When tragedy strikes, will their love be strong enough to get them through it?  Will they grow closer from this tragedy or will is push them apart?

While reading For the Love of Raindrops, I felt the emotions that they characters were going through.  There were times that I laughed and times my heart broke for the two of them. Seeing how they struggled with their feelings pulled at the strings of my heart.  I was routing for the two of them the entire time, seeing how much love they had for each other.  Dylan was a total sweetheart.

If you are looking for a sweet romance book, this is one you should definitely ONE-CLICK.

RELEASE BLITZ ~ REFT by Libby Austin

SYNOPSIS:

An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. ~ Newton’s First Law of Motion

Brandon “Brand” Carmichael’s life was the stuff dreams were made of…too bad it was an illusion. As a guitarist for Inert Motion, Brandon traveled the world, performing with his brothers in all but blood. He never stopped moving all the while his mind played in a never‑ending loop. Now outside influences have changed the band’s course, leaving Brand’s life void of the balance he craved. Once again, his dream had become a recurring nightmare. Brand coped the only way he knew how; retreat into solitude.

Û The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. ~ Newton’s Second Law of Motion

Magdalena “Layna” Delacroix had achieved the long sought goal of her Ph.D. in Psychology, but success came at a high cost: over one hundred thousand dollars in debt. After being presented with the opportunity to fulfill her desire to help someone in the aftermath of tragedy, along with earning enough money to clear her debt and start a psychology practice of her own, Layna had to balance the means against the outcome. Could she be the force to stop the downward spiral of someone who refused to seek help?

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. ~ Newton’s Third Law of Motion

Neither Brand nor Layna expected the reaction they had to one another. It was the opposite of everything they sought.

Prologue

August

(Micah)

I faced Brand’s parents. The guilt of knowing I’d failed my best friend resting heavily upon my shoulders. There was nowhere else to turn. Brand had steadily declined over the last tour. None of the other guys in the band could figure out what was going on with him either. The more we tried to include him, the more Brandon withdrew; the more he withdrew, the more erratic he became. It seemed the only time he functioned was when we were on stage.
Rubbing my hand over my head, I confessed, “We just don’t know what else to do. We thought it was drugs or booze, but we could never catch him doing it or find it hidden anywhere. Then we thought maybe he was going through groupies”—I grimaced at the thought of talking to my friend’s parents about their son’s sex life—“even though that had never been his thing before, but he wasn’t taking anybody back to his room and he wasn’t going out. He’s not eating or working out. He’s lost weight.” I sighed and looked down, focusing on the pattern in the rug. “With the tour ending and him going home by himself, we’re worried.” Looking up, I met their concerned gazes. “And in spite of feeling like I’m narcing on my friend, I’m here because he needs help and I don’t know where else to turn or what else to do.”

Peter and Sarah exchanged a knowing glance before turning their eyes back to me. As her husband squeezed her hand, Sarah asked, “When did you start to notice Brandon’s behavior changing?”

I shook my head and said, “That’s just it, it was like BAM—all of a sudden he just wasn’t the same. Then Danelle pointed out that he started acting like an ass to her when she and Ty started to get serious, and he’s gotten worse as the rest of us have settled down with girlfriends and wives and stuff.

“It doesn’t make any sense. He always got along with Danelle when she was our publicist, so I don’t get why he would suddenly be a jerk…” I trailed off as I thought back over the past couple of years.

Sarah’s worried gaze found her husband’s once again, and he swallowed and nodded his consent. It was time.

ONE DAY SALE ~ The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken

SYNOPSIS:

"I have a proposition for you." Kacey should have run the minute those words left Seattle millionaire Jake Titus's mouth. It's been years since Kacey's seen her childhood friend Jake, but the minute Jake mentions his ill grandmother, Kacey is ready to do anything for the sweet old woman. And if that means pretending they're engaged for her sake-so be it.

But Kacey wasn't counting on Jake's older brother Travis still being there. She calls him "Satan" for a reason: she's never forgotten the way he teased and taunted her. Yet when they meet again, Travis's gorgeous smile is a direct hit to her heart . . . and Kacey's more confused than ever. As the days pass, only one thing starts to become alarmingly clear-she never should have accepted Jake's deal . . .

“You’re pregnant!” she shouted, nearly dropping her tea to the floor. “Oh my heavens! Oh dear me. Oh, Grandma’s going to be so delighted!”

“I’m not—” Kacey argued.

“She’s not telling anyone yet,” Travis interrupted with a devilish smirk. “You know, the media and all that.”

“Oh, oh, oh!” Bets scurried around the room until she finally stopped in front of a few shelves. “Oh honey, don’t you remember when you and Jake used to play house? And Travis…” Bets looked at Travis and pointed. “Didn’t you play with them? Because they needed an extra person to stand in for the…”

“Dog.” Kacey smiled at Travis and stifled a giggle. “He was our dog when we played house.”

“Oh, how nice.” Bets winked at Travis and returned to digging out scrapbooks. “I’m sure I have some pictures we can use for the wedding.”

Kacey, still trying to gain control of her panic, swallowed before asking, “Why do we need pictures?”

“You know.” Bets waved her hand in the air. “For the video montage! You have to have a video montage! They’re all the rage. You know, baby pictures, prom pictures, that sort of thing. Guests love it!”

“But what about Vegas?” Kacey asked in a hopeful voice.

“Posh.” Bets shook her head vigorously. “We’ll pay for the entire thing. And you’ll get married here, at Titus Abbey.”

“Swell,” Kacey mumbled, then glared in Travis’s direction. He was gone. She leaned across the sofa and noticed him in the kitchen opening a beer. Oh, nectar of the gods! Just when she needed something strong the most, and Jake’s family thought she was pregnant.

Oh God. She was going to have to be a closet drinker. She would have to sneak down to the kitchen just to snag some tequila to numb the guilt and pain. His parents were going to kill her, and they would hate her forever. Which meant she actually had to marry Jake and then turn a blind eye to his inability to keep his pecker in his pants. And then she’d start hoarding and buying cats in order to fill the void in her life.

The drinking would get worse. Jake would hate her, and in a final desperate attempt to regain her youth, she’d die on the table trying to get plastic surgery.

This. Could. Not. Happen!

“I, uh, I’m going to see what Travis is up to!” Kacey bolted from her chair and ran into the kitchen.

MANWHORE by Katy Evans

Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

This is the story I've been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I'm the one discovering him...or if he's uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

REVIEW:

"He's Chicago's story.  And Chicago's darling.  He has to be handled with care."

He is MALCOLM KYLE LOGAN PRESTON SAINT.

When I began reading Manwhore, immediately I thought it reminded me of the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days with the premise of the magazine journalist doing an expose on a business mogul.  Those were my first thoughts, but as I continued to read I realized there was so much more to this story.

In Manwhore we are introduced to Rachel who is a journalist for the magazine Edge, which seems to be circling the drain, struggle to stay afloat.  Her boss, Helen approaches her with an assignment which she eagerly accepts.  This is Rachel's chance to make a name for herself.  What journalist wouldn't jump at the opportunity of write a piece of Chicago's one and only Malcolm Saint.  Rachel sees this as the piece she needs to set her apart from her colleagues.  Will Rachel have what it takes to get an opportunity to speak with Malcolm Saint?  At what lengths will Rachel go to in order to get close to him?

Malcolm Saint is the hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known.  Women fall to his feet, they throw themselves at him.  Malcolm is a far cry from a Saint and has earned the reputation of being called a "MANWHORE".
"You couldn't be a saint if we got you a halo." ~ Rachel
Fate played a role in granting Rachel access to Malcolm.  Neither one of them imagined the pull they would have toward each other.  Only after a few encounters, Malcolm grows possessive of Rachel.  He calls 'dibs' on her.  Rachel tries her best to have Malcolm answer the questions that she needs for her expose, but every time she is around him, her professionalism blows out the window.  She fumbles with her words, her mind goes blank. She blushes like a teenager and finds herself scrambling to avoid looking like a complete idiot.

Malcolm senses Rachel's discomfort, taking advantage of the opportunity.  Malcolm is a powerful business who gets what he wants. He's also a player who always gets who he wants.  So when he sets his sights on Rachel, he will stop at nothing to make her his.
"I indulge in anything that I want.  I'm not in the business of denying myself what I want.  I'm not in the business of denying those around me of anything they want.  I'm yours if you want me, Rachel." ~ Malcolm Saint.
The two of them are both falling for each other, and as much as Malcolm was a Manwhore, the true question is..... Is he still a Manwhore?  Can Malcolm be in a monogamous relationship?  When sparks fly between the two of them, will Rachel allow herself to fall for this sinner?  Will Rachel try to keep Malcolm at arms length?

A lie is lie, no matter how we try to sugarcoat it.  We can try and twist it, but in the end, it is still a LIE.  TRUST is a HUGE issue for Malcolm. Will Rachel ever reveal her true reason for wanting to work with Malcolm?  Malcolm is under the impression she is only interested in his new social networking site.  What will happen if her secret is ever exposed?  Will Malcolm question Rachel's motives?  Question her feelings for him? Will he give her the opportunity to explain herself?

Katy Evans did a fantastic job making the readers fall in love with Malcolm Saint.  There were no horns or a tail hidden on Malcolm Saint.  He was never a sinner in my eyes.  As much as I wanted to condemn him for being a manwhore, I couldn't.  Once he found someone that was worth changing his ways for , he did.  I found myself loving Malcolm more than I did Rachel.  In this story, the villain is Rachel in my eyes.  Malcolm managed to wiggle his way into my heart and I am dying to see what the future holds for him.  Will be be able to forgive Rachel for lying to him?  That is the million dollar question that I will have to wait till the release of Manwhore +1 in July.

 Easily 5 Stars for MANWHORE

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
