Wrecked by JB Salsbury

SYNOPSIS:

When you can't trust yourself, how can you ask anyone else to?

It's been months since Aden Colt left the Army, and still the memories haunt him. When he moved into a tiny boat off the California coast, he thought he'd found the perfect place to escape life. Then Sawyer shows up and turns his simple life upside down. Beautiful and sophisticated, she seems out of place in this laid-back beach town. Something is pushing her to experience everything she can-including Aden. But as much as he wants her, starting a relationship with Sawyer puts them both at risk. For Aden, the past doesn't stay there; it shows up unexpectedly, uncontrollably, and doesn't care whose life it wrecks.

REVIEW:

Sawyer Forresters terminally ill sister Celia begs her to go to San Diego pretending to be her so she can pack up her belongings for her and her friends would not find out why she left.  Sawyer does what she needs to do for Celia but it is not easy especially when she begins a love affair with Aden.

Aden Colt is seriously struggling with life and living after he returns from losing friends under his command.  He is existing and not living.  He hides behind drinking and faceless women.

Until he meets who he believes is Celia Forrester but is actually Sawyer,  Celia's sister.  Sawyer also has issues from her past that she needs to work through but she wants Aden, she wants him and she wants to prove to Celia she can move on and someone Celia could and would be proud of.

But what will happen when Aden finds out the truth, what will he do when he finally opened his heart and dove right in and he learns he has been lied to from the beginning?  Will his love for Celia/Sawyer be strong enough to withstand the betrayal, will he understand?

JB Salsbury has done it again, she breaks your heart into a million pieces and slowly and methodically puts it back together and smooths the pieces out.  She has an amazing way with a story and her characters.  She writes the broken person so unbelievably wonderful.  4.5 beautiful stars!
