REVIEW TOUR~ MISTER MONEYBAGS by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward

  MMB banner 1

IMG_5273I met Bianca in an elevator.

She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.

The beautiful, raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.

She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”—her afternoon appointment.

Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type—snobby, over educated, silver- spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t—a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn't want it to end.

I began dating her as “Jay”—all the while letting her interview the real me over email.

I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.

I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.

I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.

And she was falling for two men.

Only, both men were me.

And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.

Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn't prepared for what came after.

All good things must come to an end, right? Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

REVIEW:

Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward duo does it again. They do such great work together. They bring us a book that rolls so many emotions into one. I laughed out loud so many times, I cursed the characters while falling in love with them.

Dex or rather Jay and Bianca met stuck in an elevator while Bianca was on her way to interview Dex. (Keep in mind she has no clue what he looks likes.) Throughout this encounter Bianca voices out her dislike for guys like Dex. You know the rich type that are snobby, self centered and emotionless? Yah that. Though they aren't always like that it's what Bianca knows. Dex took the cowards way out. Instead of revealing himself he created a new identity. I know, dumb right? But keep in mind he's a guy and they don't always think rationally in stressful situations. He will learn that this decision will backfire.

Bianca is a spitfire who is independent and knows what she wants. I truly love the person Bianca is. She completely hates liars. What woman doesn't? But her hatred for liars runs deep because of her past.

I found it hilarious while reading Dex and Jay scenes. Watching him fight and forth with himself  over Bianca, hating his own self. He created Jay to get Bianca to like him for who he is but ended up creating someone he is not. But he does try to  fit the character he created. Learning how to do all the things he made up. All this while making the real Dex get to know  who she is while communicating online. I won't deny it. I fell for both Dex and Jay. They both have a little bit different of what to offer. This throws Bianca it for a loop because here she's with one person but still getting to know the other. It does get confusing right? I completely swooned over the Dex and Jay identities and what they both did to get Bianca to like him for who he truly was inside.

Bianca and Jay have this type of chemistry that works for them. It's  definitely there while they have lots of fun. In the meantime, while Bianca and Dex talk online to work on an interview, the chemistry between them is inevitable. They tend to cross the line several times, from professionalism to personal stuff. It just seems to good to be true.  By having these two guys talking to Bianca has her feeling bad. She shouldn't be doing it. But loves the intereaction between both. Jay is more of the fun type, while Dex is more the serious and mysterious type.

When the lies catch up to one another, can they salvage their relationship? Or will lying about it cause Bianca to leave? Or when her family situation takes a big turn. One lies turns into a life threatening situation. There's a lot of people this involves. More importantly one threatening Dex and Bianca. Can Bianca get past the web of lies? What will the future hold for everyone? And I'm talking not just Bianca and Dex.
