They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.
Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.
But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

Review

I’ve been waiting for this book to come out since Worth the Chance and Vi has knocked it out of the park with the conclusion of this MMA Series. How can you go wrong with hot businessman/fighter? The chemistry between Jax and Lily can be seen a mile away. This book is hot and steamy with just enough drama that will definitely keep you captivated till the very end.

Jackson “Jax” Knight grew up with what everyone would think would be with the perfect life. The politician father, loyal mother, went to the finest schools, had everything he ever wanted, you name it he had it. He was a successful business man, with a passion in fighting. When the one secret became public, his entire life became one big lie. The one person he looked up to all his life was a complete fraud and he had a brother who was living the dream he secretly wanted. With the scandal of his father and his MMA brother, Jax was in the spotlight and was followed constantly by reporters in D.C. He wasn’t able to go to his office, go to the gym, or even for a run without being followed. He wanted to escape it all, so he ran to New York City.
“I want to be there to catch you if you fall from now on.” ~ Jax

Lily St. Claire is the daughter of the legendary fighter, “The Saint” and also part owner of Rally’s Gyms.  The gym was started by her father and his best friend, Joe Ralley. Her father was the only family she had until he passed. It has always been the two of them since her mother died when she was little. Fighting has always been in her life, since she grew up surrounded by it.  When her father had passed, she took over his half of the gym and Joe pretty much became her family. She leaned on Joe’s nephew Caden (a gym rat) during the time of her father’s passing, whom she eventually dated. He helped her fill her roll when she couldn’t perform her duties at the gym and was always there when she needed him. He became very controlling, demanding, possessive, and aggressive with her. Heck she didn’t feel anything for him, but she didn’t focus on it much since he filled the void from the loss of her father. When she finally got back on her feet and she broke it off, he just wouldn’t get the hint and would use the fact that he helped her through a tough time to guilt her along.
“Some things you get one taste of and want to consume the whole thing.” ~ Jax
Lily has no time for relationships and with her last one with Caden, it has put her off from fighters. Caden still treats her as if they are still in a relationship, she can’t seem to shake him off. He still seems to possess and control her every move, including who she speaks to. He will not accept the fact that they aren’t together. He will do and is capable of doing anything to keep Lily in his life.  Being around fighters all her life, she knows exactly how they can be. But just one look at Jax and she is mesmerized. There is just something about him that captivates her. Unfortunately meeting Jax at the gym has put Lily’s walls straight up. She is not putting herself through that again. As much as she is attracted to him, she will not put herself through it again.

“So you think my heart is in the right place?”~ Jax“I do. I think your heart is right where it belongs.”    ~ Lily
Jax is very attracted to Lily and has much more of an incentive to stay in New York. Lily’s partner Joe is planning on retiring and he is selling his portion of the gym and will only do so to a silent investor. Lily is completely shocked to find out when the sexy fighter she is oogling over is also a very successful businessman. Brownie points for Jax! That makes it much harder for her to resist him. He is doing everything he possibly can to make it an easy transition for them on a business standpoint.
“Your body feels so right connected to mine.” ~ Jax
Jax is very persistent and is trying everything he can to get Lily to go out with him. When he wants something, he won’t stop until he gets it. Once Caden realizes Jax is interested in Lily, he is doing everything in his power to cock block him and is calling Lily’s phone to the max. The chemistry between Jax and Lily is explosive. They have so much in common outside of the bedroom, like art and the love of fighting and in the bedroom they physically connect. Jax can be dressed in a business suit and professional when he needs to be but he’s a damn good dirty talker! His words alone will have Lily come undone. But he’s not just a talker; he fulfills every dirty word he speaks to her and then some. He’s addicted to her like a drug. She hasn’t felt like this in such a long time. Lily has only had her father to take care of her, so Jax feels the need to protect and keep her safe since she has no one else.  He will do anything and everything he needs to do for her. He will fight for Lily.
“Please give me reason to wake up every morning and show you I’m worth forgiving.” ~ Jax
When the stresses of his father come crashing down on him, secrets he has kept from Lily are revealed, the business acquisition put to a stop, and Caden desperately trying to take Lily away from him…. His life has come spiraling out of control and fast. He has come to realize that life without Lily is no life at all.  He needs to find a way to fight to keep Lily in his life. In order to do that, he needs to turn to the one person he never wanted in his life.
“There was no reason to stay.” “And every reason to come back.” ~ Jax
Will Jax be able to get Lily back in his life? Will Caden finally get the hint and leave Lily well alone? Can Jax ever live his life without his father’s watchful eye? Can Jax ever have some kind of relationship with his long lost brother? Can Lily forgive Jax for the secret he has kept from her? Will Lily’s walls finally be put down?  Is Jax worth forgiving?

I absolutely loved this book and Jax has become my favorite. He just melts my heart. The way he seems to put Lily’s needs before anything just makes me love him. She hasn’t had that feeling since her father. And I love her best friend! He is simply amazing and with no filter at that. Every girl needs a BFF like that! I wanted to strangle Caden throughout the entire book. I’m surprised he made it as far as he did; that Jax let him go on for as long as he did. I’m kind of upset just a tad that I didn’t get as much of Nick and Vince as I wanted to, but that’s beside the point. I’m just greedy that way, I want them all. I’m just glad to have a touch of them. I’m sad the series has come to a close. I’ve come to love them.

Excerpt: Meet Jax and Lily
Dinner and a dirty mouth
My face pinks when the waiter clears his throat, no doubt he’d heard Jax’s last comment.
“Are you ready to hear the specials?”
“Are we?”  Jax arches an eyebrow, his eyes gleaming with delight.  He’s not the slight bit embarrassed, but knows I am and is quite enjoying himself.
“Yes.  Please.”  I give him the evil eye and force my full attention back to the waiter.  The entire time the waiter talks about the specials I feel Jax’s eyes burning into me.
“I’ll give you a moment to let you decide.”  Graciously, the waiter excuses himself.
“Why did you do that?” I scold, my voice low.
“Do what?”  He leans back in his seat, crossing his arms over his thick chest.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about.”
“Do I?”
“You enjoy watching me flustered, don’t you?”
Jax arches both eyebrows.  Bad choice of words.
“You know what I mean.”
Leaning in, his voice gritty and sexy, he looks me straight in the eyes when he speaks.  “I love watching you.  Period.  But what I like best is watching you pretend you’re unaffected.  It’s like an unspoken challenge.”  He pauses and leans in even closer.  “I love the pink that creeps up your cheeks when I say something dirty.  The way your pussy throbs when I mention what I’m going to do to you later, and you wiggle in your seat trying to control it.  So yeah, I guess I do like watching you flustered.  You sit and give your attention to the waiter, trying to pretend you’re listening to whatever he’s saying instead of thinking of me feeding you my cock later, but we both know you didn’t hear one word he said.  Hell I didn’t hear one word watching you, just knowing what you were thinking about.”
This time, I see the waiter before he’s close enough to hear us.  He smiles as he reaches our table.  “So what can I get for you this evening?  Did I interest you in one of our specials?”
I look at the waiter, then Jax, who arches an eyebrow with a knowing smirk on his face, then back to the waiter.  “The specials all sounded delicious.  I just can’t decide for myself.  I’m going to defer to my date to pick one for me.”  I return my eyes to Jax with a cheeky grin.

He throws his head back with a chuckle and looks at the poor confused waiter.  “We’ll take whatever two are your favorites.  Surprise us.”

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she's been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it's boring...and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle's office and everything changes...for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

Worth the Chance (Book Two)

Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I'd know him anywhere. Sure, he's grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I'd much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She's smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she's dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I'm damn good. But there's one woman that isn't interested. Not again, anyway.

Vince 'The Invincible' Stone is every woman's fantasy...strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he's learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own...for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there's no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?
