WOW! The dynamic duo does it again. Every time I receive their book, I always plan to pace myself and savor the story. It never works. This was definitely a book I could not put down once I started it. It kept me up until 230am and I still needed to process before I could finally go to sleep.  It was a slow burn, but well worth the anticipation. I laughed, I cried, my heart broke and they put it back together again. i felt all the feels I possibly could feel while reading this book. Definitely a five star read. 

Two strangers meet during unusual circumstances and they take you on an incredible journey. Milo and Maddie Hooker’s story began when they they needed a room. Real names have not been exchanged. They agree to a road trip full of new adventures. And boy what a fun adventure it is. She’s a bit lost and doesn’t know who she is anymore. He’s broken and doesn’t know where he belongs. Watch as these two help one another find their places once more. As they get to know one another, they bring out their true selves. He helps her realize what she has been missing all this time. She helps him see what living truly feels like. The walls they once have put up are slowly tumbling down. 

I appreciate how the authors made me feel like I was on an adventure of a lifetime right with them. Matteo, I definitely love who he is. Here he met Hazel and saw something in her that he was willing to go on adventure with a virtual stranger. He sees something in her wanting to get out and be free and he takes it upon himself to help her out. Matteo will do anything to see Hazel happy. When I found out about Matteo’s past…boy did I cry. I felt so bad for him, the guilt that he harbors and that he is going through. I wanted to just hug him. When Hazel hears his story, you see a change in her. She wants to help him see past all that guilt and get back to living life. Hazel, I definitely loved seeing her grow in this story and find out what she truly was missing. No one should ever settle. I adored loved Matteo and Hazel.

Their adventures will crack you up. I won't look at pineapples the same again that's for sure. it has me wondering what people really experience during road trips. Some were just far fetched. Some I would like to experience for myself. 

Hazel and Matteo go their separate ways and decide to meet back three months later. If things were meant to be, they will pick up right where they left off. Like they say. You have to let them go and if it’s meant to be you will find each other again.

When they get back to reality, confusion sets in. The past comes back hoping for another chance. Hazel isn’t who she was and thanks to Matteo she is is still discovering who she truly is. When the past and the present collide, it’s something no one would have expected. What happens next is shocking. Decisions must be made, sides must be chosen. Someone will be hurt. 

 Which life is she supposed to live? Does she hold on to the past or search for a future with the unknown? 

Maybe being in the wrong place at the wrong time was truly meant to make their paths meet. 

Go get this book so you can follow the adventure of the Hookers. Who knows. Maybe you’ll be inspired to go on your own adventure.
