EXCERPT:
“Where are your jeans?” Josh asks as he meets me at my car the following morning.
“These are jeans.” I pull my tote bag out of the car and walk toward the front door of his house. “Is Seth here yet?”
“No, he’ll be a few minutes. I have him feeding the dogs at the big house.”
“Okay.”
“Those are not jeans.” He’s scowling down at my denim shorts like they’re the devil incarnate.
“They’re denim.”
He narrows his chocolate eyes at me, but I see the humor there, and the butterflies take up residence in my belly again.
I love riling this guy up.
“Fine, they’ll have to do. Go ahead and get settled, Seth will be here in a minute. I have to ride out with a few of the guys to repair a fence, so I’ll see you at lunch time.” He pulls on some gloves and settles his green baseball cap on his head backwards again.
“You don’t wear cowboy hats?” I ask without thinking.
“Not usually. I have one, if you’d rather I wear it.” He smirks.
“No, just curious,” I mumble and head toward the house.
“Don’t leave before I get back. I have plans for you.”
He grins wide, winks, and saunters off toward the massive barn that sits between his house and the big house.
Well, isn’t that view nice? His Levi’s hug his ass perfectly and sit low on his hips, and as he walks I can see his buttocks and thighs flex.
Dear God, I’m lusting after a rancher.

REVIEW:
I absolutely loved this book.
Michelle did an amazing job in captivating my attention from the very
beginning to the very end. I could not put the book down. She made me feel as
if I was a part of the book. I felt the emotions that were poured into the story.
I loved that she allowed me to feel every emotion that the characters felt. This book will have your emotions all over the
place, at any given time.
Madeline (Maddie), Mackenna (Kenna), Trent, and Bryan have
been friends since they were little and have pretty much became inseparable
since. Their older brothers played football together and they used to have to
wait around after school waiting for them since they couldn’t go home by
themselves. There was no denying that
Maddie has always had a crush on Trent. Even
just as kids, they had some kind of connection to one another, everyone thought
they would be married one day. The MASH games that she would play with Kenna
after school while waiting for their brothers would prove it. Maddie would
spend a lot of time after school at Trent’s house since her older brother Jack
and Trent’s older brother were best friends. Being in a house full of boys, the
Basso’s welcomed Maddie as part of her own. Their father was always on business
trips and their mother was not usually home, so that left Maddie taking care of
herself most of her time. She had to grow up pretty quickly at such a young age.
Maddie and Trent first admitted their feelings towards one
another at the young age of 11 and started dating. That lasted all but 2 weeks.
Trent moved on to other girls, but he and Maddie remained best friends. That’s
the really good thing behind this all. No matter how many other girls Trent was
seeing, he still remained best friends with Maddie. All the other girls hated
her for it, but if they couldn’t accept it, they didn’t last, they usually
didn’t though.
Maddie never had a normal childhood growing up. When Jack
went away to college, her parents divorced, and her mom was never home, leaving
her to care for herself most of the time. Her friends were her family and her
support system.
Maddie and Trent dated on and off all through high school, but
when it was time for college, Trent broke Maddie’s heart and wanted to explore
the world of college. Trent wanted to pursue his dream of becoming a soccer
star and reap the benefits from it. It was Gabe, Trent’s older brother who
came to get Maddie out of her funk. The more time they spent together, the more
their feelings for one another started to develop, but they would never act on
it. Gabe made a promise to Trent and as much as it pained him, it had to be the
one promise he could not break. Trent would come in and out of Maddie’s life,
but always seemed break her heart, leaving Gabe to pick up the pieces. Maddie
always took Trent back no matter how bad he broke her heart. She would always
forgive him. Even when you think they’ve hit the bottom, she gave him another
chance. It wasn’t until she saw Trent in his full element surrounded by people
taking advantage of him. He was a real class A jerk towards her and didn’t
think so. He made his decision and so did she. She left him that night, without
even saying goodbye.
Maddie couldn’t face coming home because she couldn’t
stomach the memories she would have to deal with. But Jack is getting married
and she has no choice but to go home, so she takes her best friend Ian with
her. She plans to avoid both of the Basso brothers or any drama for that
matter, but that’s not likely since she is greeted by Gabe at the airport and
he shares a rental car with her for the week. As much as she doesn’t want to,
she wasn’t in the mood to argue with them and Ian’s bags weren’t going to fit
in a compact car and she couldn’t afford the cost of an SUV. The drive back to
her house was causing the memories to slowly return. The house she vowed to
never return to was not the same house she left. Her mom completely transformed
the house. She knew she did it for her, to help her not remember. Maddie knew
her mom couldn’t afford it so she had a man in her life paying for things. Even
after all these years, she hasn’t been able to forgive her mom, don’t think she
ever will.
Jack has a whole week’s worth of events lined up. Maddie
just wants this week to be over with so she can go back home to New York and
not have to see people that will bring up the old memories she wants to never
remember. She hasn’t seen or spoken to Trent since the day she walked out on
him, and that is the one person she is afraid to see. She is still hurt by him
and she doesn’t know what will happen when she sees him again. Gabe uses this
week of car sharing to his advantage. His innocent flirting with Maddie has
intensified, the more time they spend together. It confuses her at first; but
it feels comforting, it feels natural, it feels right. Maddie is slowly
starting to fall for Gabe, again.
While Maddie is battling her
feelings for Gabe, Trent in back in town for the wedding, trying to win Maddie
back. He realizes he messed up all those years and wants her back in his life.
He tries to prove to her that he is a different man, a changed man. But Maddie
knows what the outcome will be if she goes back with Trent. He will be will her
for a bit, then when its convenient for him, he will leave her heartbroken yet
again. She cannot do that to herself again. She is done getting her heart
broken by Trent. She will not go down that road again. Maddie does not feel anything
but friendship towards Trent, but he will not understand that. He is trying
everything to get her back. He is confusing their friendship and it’s
frustrating Gabe. Gabe felt as if though he was getting closer to being with
Maddie, but Trent is trying to get her back as well. This is causing the
ongoing tension between the brothers to escalate.
Maddie and her mom clear the air
on their relationship. Her mom finally realizes what she did wrong while Maddie
was growing up and now she is a changed person. She met someone who makes her
wants to be better, someone who she loves. Maddie forgives her and they move
forward and work on their new relationship. No one will replace the love of her
father, but she can only try to get along with the new guy in her mom’s life.
Maddie has no idea what she will do with Trent or Gabe. She knows Trent will
break her heart again and Gabe, she can’t be with him because of Trent. A part
of her heart loves both of them. Gabe has always been there for her when she
needed him the most. He never let her down. Trent has always let her down, but
the one important time she needed him, he was there and that’s the time that
counted. But is she a reason to cause this family such a rift? Should such a
close knit family even be fighting just because of her?
Who will Maddie choose? Will she
choose Gabe, who has been there for her? Or will she choose Trent, who she thought she would be with since they were children? Or will she sacrifice her own
happiness to keep this family together?
You would think reading from the
beginning that Trent and Maddie would be the happy couple throughout the book.
You would never have thought that they would be the on and off again couple. My
heart broke for Maddie. Trent was such a selfish prick, always thinking of
himself. Constantly breaking her heart and being with her for convenience. But
I loved how they could always remain friends no matter what. Maddie’s strength
throughout the difficult situations she was handed was amazing. I admire her for it. I don’t think I
would have been able to handle it. I probably would have given up a long time
ago. I absolutely loved Gabe and how he was always there for her. I respected
him for keeping his loyalty towards Trent all those years. He could have acted
on his feelings for Maddie a whole lot sooner, but he didn’t because of that
one promise he made to him. Not a lot of guys would do that. Great job
Michelle, looking forward to more of your books.
EXCERPT:
We pull down my
street and I automatically feel like I'm going to throw up. Ian must notice
because he reaches over, putting a hand on my leg. I look over at him and he
smiles, letting me know he is there for me. I never told Ian the whole story of
why I hate this town now. He never pushes me for details, always waiting until
I am ready to tell him. That’s one of the reasons why I love him. My house is the
same brown, ranch-style brick that I remember. I assume Jack is keeping up the
landscaping for her. Appearances are everything in this town. There are no cars
in the driveway so I don’t pull all the way up, instead stopping at the walkway
to the house. I don’t get the warm welcome Gabe does; no one is coming out to
see me. I put the car in park and put my hands in my lap, sighing.I look at the house and more memories flood
my mind, all of them bad. They are the reason I hate this town, the reason I
ran away from it. Ian is already
out of the car, banging on the back door and telling me to unlock it. I shake
off my thoughts, looking for the unlock button. After I click it, the back door
opens and Ian starts pulling out the bags. “It’s like a
band-aid, Maddy. You've just gotta tear it off,” he says from the back. “I’m fine, Ian,
but thank you.” Lying to people has become second nature lately. “Let’s go, it’s
hot. Please tell me your mom has air conditioning. I think my hair is already
falling,” Ian complains. There is no way his hair could fall with all of the
gel, mousse, and hair spray he has in it, but I don't bother telling him this. "Of course we
have air conditioning. I know you aren’t used to the country, but we do have
modern conveniences,” I say, reaching around to grab my one bag. “I’m just saying.
It’s hard looking this good, Madeline.” He has three bags hanging from his arms
and pulling one behind him, and is out of breath by the time we reach my
doorstep. He only uses my full name when he is agitated with me. I ring the
doorbell since I don’t have a key anymore. No one answers. I should have known
she wouldn’t be home when I got here. I told her three times when I would be
arriving. God knows what is more important than me this time. I search the
front steps, looking for the fake rock she has used for years to hide the key.
Bingo! I grab the key, inserting it in the lock and open the door. “Wow,” Ian says
behind me. I am speechless,
unable to believe my eyes. The house has been completely remodeled from floor
to ceiling. All of our furniture has been replaced with new modern furniture.
The light oak tables are now glass. Our plaid couch is now a soft gray sofa
with yellow armchairs on either side. “Go,” Ian pushes
me into the house, “it’s like 103 degrees out here.” I fumble my way
into the house that is now unrecognizable to me, and drop my bags by the door.
I love my mom for doing this. It helps keep the bad memories at bay, but I
assure myself it wasn’t done for my benefit. I wonder where she got the money;
being in the designing world, I know these pieces cost a small fortune and
aren't something an office assistant can afford. “Your house is
beautiful,” Ian says, shutting the front door and looking around the house, I
assume for a vent to cool down. It’s hard to believe that Wisconsin summers can
get so hot. “This isn’t my
house,” I say flatly, “not the one I grew up in.” “I see where you
get your style,” he says. “I can assure you
this is not my mother's doing. She must have hired someone. She has always been
partial to more of a country theme,” I respond, still in awe over the changes
to the interior of the house. Every aspect has been redone. Even the pictures
from when Jack and I were little are now in modern frames. “Whoever did it,
it’s really nice,” he says. I put Ian in
Jack’s old room, which actually looks pretty much the same. His football
trophies line the bookshelves with ribbons hanging below. The only difference I
notice is that the twin-sized bed has been replaced with a queen. I am
surprised the bedding has been washed, ready for Ian. I assumed I would be
taking care of that when I got here. I am happy to see
my room has been redone. My daybed is gone, replaced by a queen as well. The
walls are thankfully not still purple, but now a light blue with a chic new
bedspread. All of my old furniture is gone and white furniture is now in its
place. I throw myself on the bed, closing my eyes. Even with all new furniture,
I can still feel the fear when I close my eyes and I am instantly transported
back to that night. I open them quickly, not wanting to remember.
Michelle Lynn has always been a reader, but her passion has
become a full-blown addiction since her husband bought her a Kindle for
Mother's Day. She's pretty sure that he regrets this on a regular basis.
Especially when she has it propped up next to the stove while she cooks, which
often results in a burnt dinner. Or when he loses sleep because the glow from
the screen wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the morning. He does
agree, however, that she uses this gift more than any other he has ever gotten
her. She joking counters that, because of some of the steamy novels she reads,
he also benefits more from this gift than any other he has gotten her. ;)
Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring
from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten
years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a
love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion
to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote
one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she
isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to
her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after
chasing around twin preschoolers all day, she always cherishes her relaxation
time after putting the kids to bed.

S. Walden used to
teach English before making the best decision of her life by becoming a
full-time writer. She lives in Georgia with her very supportive husband who

REVIEW:
I would give CRAVE a 4 star rating. I finished it in one sitting. I couldn't manage to put it down. The story flowed effortlessly. I was sucked into the story from the first chapter. I think Monica Murphy did a great job with CRAVE. The chemistry between all of the characters is very realistic, I felt as though I could be friends with them.
Crave is a story about a billionaire, Archer Bancroft whose family owns a chain of hotels. Archer has a very volatile relationship with his father. His father never believed in him and never thought he would succeed in life on his own. Archer proved his father wrong when he opened a successful hotel called, HUSH.
Archer and his two best friends, Gage and Matt are at a friend's wedding and he can feel all eyes on him. When he looks around, all he sees are women waiting in the distance for the opportunity to approach him and try to get their claws in him. Little did they know, Archer was NOT interested in RELATIONSHIPS. He was a wham bam thank you kind of guy. While at the wedding Gage, Matt and Archer are discussing the pros and cons of relationships. Archer and Gage don't see any cons of being in a relationship. Matt on the other hand, is an optimistic. He claims he just hasn't come across the right woman to settle down with. Archer and Gage have no plans on settling down as they enjoy playing the field too much.
As the men continue their conversation, Matt calls Archer's bluff and proceeds to tell him that he will be the first to fall in love with a woman and beg her to marry him. Archer thinks Matt has lost his mind. Gage knows that he doesn't plan on falling in love anytime soon, so he throws out the idea of a little bet amongst the men to make things a "little" more interesting. There is a little wager made amongst the men; the winner being the last single man standing. The winner will receive a nice hefty sum of money.
Archer has never been a man that was interested in relationships. It has been drilled into Archer Bancroft's head that control is EVERYTHING!
"Control is everything - and that is the one thing I've learned from my bastard of a father. You gain nothing by letting yourself go, by revealing your emotions, by becoming vulnerable." ~ Archer Bancroft
Archer and Gage have been best friends since they were teenagers. Archer and Gage grew up next door to each other. Growing up they were always together. Ivy, Gage's younger sister was always around the two as well. Archer and Ivy have always bickered like they were brother and sister. Archer looked at Ivy like a younger sister, until Ivy began to mature and develop into a sexy beautiful woman. Archer couldn't manage to keep his eyes off of her whenever she was around. He knew he could never act on his feelings on Ivy, Gage would never allow it. So instead, Archer continued to taunt Ivy like he always had, thereby, keeping her at a safe distance.
Throughout the years, Archer knew that there was one person that he could see a future with. One person that he wanted a relationship with. One person that understood him, accepted for him for who he was. One person that he has always had feelings for, however this person was OFF LIMITS. That special person was Ivy. Archer knew that Gage would never allow him to date his sister. Gage knew that Archer was a player, a womanizer and he would not stand by and watch his sister get her heart shattered by Archer. Archer knew that Ivy deserved to be treated like a queen. Could Archer be the one to treat her that way? Was Archer capable of loving Ivy the way she deserved to be loved? Could Ivy change Archer's views on relationships?
While at the wedding, Archer approaches Ivy and asks her to dance with him. The sexual tension is evident between the two and the sparks are flying. You can tell that they are both attracted to each other, yet neither one of them are willing to admit that they have feelings for each other. Things get a little hot on the terrace between Archer and Ivy, only to be interrupted by Gage. Archer immediately pulls away from Ivy, leaving her feeling rejected. Why couldn't Archer just tell Gage that he had feelings for Ivy?
Ivy seems to have a bad track record when it comes to boyfriends. She is the girl that always finds a man that seems to need fixing. Archer Bancroft falls into this category perfectly. The only difference is, Archer doesn't think he needs fixing. For Ivy to even consider a relationship with a guy, there has to be a spark, chemistry, unexpected kisses, wandering hands, to be touched, sweet caresses, etc...
"I've had a string of bad luck with men my entire dating life. I pick the wrong, my mom has told me more than once. She describes me as a fixer. I take the broken guys and try to put them back together again. "Humpty Dumpty Syndrome" is what she calls it. ~ Ivy Emerson
When Ivy is around Archer, she feels a spark, she feels the chemistry between them. Ivy and Archer have a love/hate relationship. Ivy doesn't know if she wants a relationship with Archer, but she knows that she wants to have mind blowing sex with him. She can only imagine what it would feel like to lay beneath his sexy, muscled body while he makes love to her. Just the thought has her panties soaked.
After having mind blowing sex, neither Archer or Ivy want to admit their feelings to each other and they both act like "it didn't matter". However that couldn't be further from the truth. Both of them are waiting for the other to express their true feelings, neither one of them wanting to be the one to lay their feelings on the line, for fear of rejection.
Archer can not get Ivy out of his head, he can't forget her smell or the way she kissed him. He is completely consumed by Ivy. Archer has a proposition for Ivy. One that he thinks she wont be able to resist. Archer wants to spend more time with Ivy and this is the only way he thinks he can. He NEEDS Ivy! He CRAVES Ivy.
After working with Archer, she knows she is in love with him. The only question is, does Archer feel the same way? Does Archer love Ivy? Have Ivy changed Archer? Will Gage accept a relationship between his best friend and his baby sister? Does Archer need Gage's approval?
After hearing what Ivy thought were the 3 best words she would ever hear come from Archer's mouth, in a matter of a few hours, she over hears, Archer deny his feelings for her to Matt. Ivy hears the worst words she would ever hear, "She's just Ivy, remember. She doesn't count." Ivy is crushed, her heart shattered into a million pieces. Why would Archer down play his feelings for Ivy to Matt? Was the bet more important to him than Ivy? Why didn't Archer ever tell Ivy about the juvenile bet? Ivy knew how immature Gage, Matt and Archer could be.
I really enjoyed this book. My only complaint is, I wish it were a little longer. I wanted more. I wanted to see more of the relationship develop between Archer and Ivy. At times, I felt like it was rushed. Grant it, Archer only had two weeks with Ivy, so the story was going to move a little fast.
This is one of my favorite songs and after you listen to the words, you will know why I love it. I can so picture Archer and Ivy making love to this song playing in the background..
EXCERPT:
Damn,
could I feel any cheaper?
I’m skulking down the hall of my very own home, shirtless and
shoeless, my clothes and shoes clutched in my hand, my pants unbuttoned, for
the love of God, and ready to fall from my hips. My footsteps are light as I’m literally
sprinting across my house. If Gage came out at this very moment, he would take
one look at me and know exactly what I’d just done.
His baby sister.
Grimacing, I shake my head and head toward my bedroom suite, which
is on the other side of the house. I’m breathing a little easier now that I’m
out of the guest wing, but I could still get caught. That I’m even thinking
like this makes me feel like an absolute jackass.
This is my house. I’m twenty-fucking-eight years old. I shouldn’t
have to sneak around like some sort of teenager out screwing around with my
secret girlfriend.
But here I am. Sneaking.
I’m still shocked over how Ivy kicked me out of bed before the
come dried on her skin; she was that ruthless about the entire encounter.
Crude, I know, but true. I’d been ready to wax poetic and go on and on over how
amazing that entire experience had been. Because as quick as I’d
come—embarrassingly quick, I’ll admit, but damn I was overwhelmed with the fact
that I was actually inside her—sex with Ivy had been mind blowing.
I wanted to tell her how much I wanted to do it again. Clutch her
close and cuddle for Christ’s sake. I don’t fucking cuddle. I’m the one who
kicks them out of my bed. I’m the one who says, Hey, it’s been real, but you need to get your pretty little ass out of
here.
Always, I sleep alone. For once, I wanted to sleep with someone
else. Really and truly sleep. Hold her close, feel her skin on mine, smell her.
I can still smell her. Feel her. Taste her.
She gave me the boot instead.
Yeah. Bizarre. I feel like the tables have been turned on me
completely. I don’t like it. Not one freaking bit.
But since I saw her earlier this evening at the wedding reception,
she’s flipped me on my head. What’s up is down and all that other bullshit. I
haven’t felt right since. It fucking sucks. I have a business to run, employees
to take care of, the potential to open another Hush location on the horizon and
a volatile father to handle.
The last thing I need is some woman twisting up my insides.
I stride inside my bedroom, slamming the door behind me and head
toward the bathroom. I need a shower. Maybe if I wash away the memory, the feel
of her skin on mine, her scent, her taste, then I could forget her. Ivy.
Doesn’t help. As I stand under the scalding hot water battering my
body and scrub at my skin, I can still smell her. Hear her panting, frantic
breaths, the way she said my name just before she came. Smell her flowery,
delicious skin, taste her greedy lips and tongue . . .
Fuck. I glance down, the water beating a rapid tattoo on the top
of my head, and see my erection. Fucking stupid thing. No wonder women loved to
go on and on about how men only think with their dicks.
They’re pretty dead on in that observation.
Restraining myself, I refuse to jerk off. I just came not fifteen
minutes ago, you’d think I’d be over this. Over her.
Apparently not. Having her once wasn’t enough. I want Ivy again.
I furiously wrench the faucet off and grab a towel, rubbing it
haphazardly across my skin, not really drying it. The soft terry cloth slides
across my erection and I grimace. Pissed that I’m teasing myself.
What the hell
is wrong with me?
Ivy Emerson is what’s wrong
with you, jackass. She’s played you
at your game and actually came out on top. Where does that leave you?
Miserable. Pissed. Eager to go back to her room and have my way
with her again . . . slower this time. So I can linger over
her body, see what she likes, where she prefers to be touched, taste her
between her legs and see how long it takes to make her come with just my
tongue . . .
Rubbing the heels of my hands against my eyes, I blink them open,
stare at my reflection in the steam-covered mirror in front of me. I’m a wreck.
Eyes wild, skin still wet from the shower, mouth and jaw so tight I look like I
might shatter. Rigid and tense.
All over a woman.
I let loose a loud, growling “Fuck!” and hit the lights off,
stride back into my room. Climb into bed naked and still damp, yanking the
covers over my head in the hopes I can shut off my whirling brain.
Doesn’t work. I want her with me. Snug against me. I need to come
clean with myself. I’ve lusted over her for years. Since her high school
graduation, like some sort of pervert, considering I have a solid four years on
her and the last thing I should’ve been doing was wondering if she could
possibly be naked beneath her ceremony gown.
Of course, she wasn’t. She’d been eighteen and pure and beautiful.
She’d given me a hug and thanked me for coming and all I could think about was
how much I wish I was coming. Inside
of her . . .
Yeah. I had it bad for her then. I still do. And I shouldn’t. I’m
not the relationship type. My parents warped me for good. Ruined me for any
woman. I might be able to hold my shit together for a while, but she’d wear me
down eventually and discover the real me.

Kylie
Wolfe and bassist Wyatt McCrae have been bad for each other for the last
several years, but it’s impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull.
Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by lust and proximity—she’s her
older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band mate.
So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record
a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the latest break with Wyatt
official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A
week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about
the last time she was in New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days
where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just to fall ridiculously in love
with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal,
no-strings attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.
Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as
gorgeous and demanding and awful for her as ever.
Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not
without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard in the first place.
Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last
chance with each other.

SYNOPSIS: Sadie Miller is attempting to
change her ways and hide somewhere no one knows her former self. She only wants
to finish her final year of college, obtain her degree and get out from her
parent’s hold. Then she meets Brady Carsen, the lead singer of the college town
band, The Invisibles. Although she tries to stay away, his persistence quickly
wins her over and she realizes although he is everything she’s not used to, he
might be exactly what she needs and more importantly wants.
Unfortunately, Sadie’s
troubled past at her last school left her with insecurities that make her
question Brady’s true intentions.While
Brady is convinced Sadie is the one for him, he has his own secrets that he
fears will be their undoing, destroying everything they have grown to become.
If they want to be together,
they will have to stand united and fight the outside influences that are
threatening to tear them apart. Can they put the distrusts and apprehensions
formed by their pasts behind them for good in order to secure their future?
Michelle Lynn has always been a reader, but her passion has
become a full-blown addiction since her husband bought her a Kindle for
Mother's Day. She's pretty sure that he regrets this on a regular basis. Especially
when she has it propped up next to the stove while she cooks, which often
results in a burnt dinner. Or when he loses sleep because the glow from the
screen wakes him up when he rolls over at three in the morning. He does agree,
however, that she uses this gift more than any other he has ever gotten her.
She joking counters that, because of some of the steamy novels she reads, he
also benefits more from this gift than any other he has gotten her.
